Yours and Mine

Chapter 5

Winters' POV

I walked back to her place and knocks. "Where is she?" Her mother asked me, desperate.

"She'll be home soon." I answered emotionless.

Leave me alone.

Leave me alone.

Leave me alone.

Her words were planted into my head. "I can't take her to school anymore."

"It's okay." Her dad answered. And then I left. I walked back to my house and slept. Well, tried to. I couldn't. So many memories.

I held on. I guess it's time to let go.

Ash! My arm hurts.

Don't leave me. Please, Ash. I need you.

Please, stay for me. Stay strong. We'll be together.

I love you. Forever.

Thank you for not leaving me.

I love you.

Don't leave me, Ash. Ever.

Let's stay like this together forever.

Let's have kids.

Happy birthday! I love you. Too much.

"Ashley." I groaned.

"What mom?"

"You assume to much." I hear Ashley's voice. It's impossible. I stayed rooted to my bed.

"If it's dinner, I'll pass mom."

"You assume that I'm your mom?"

"Mom, don't mess with me."

"I'm not your mom, Ash!"

I jumped from my bed. "Summers?"

Summers' POV

I walked back home and talked to my parents. And then my dad said one sentence that broke me.

"He says he can't drive you to school anymore." I frowned.

Why not?

You told him to leave you alone!

And he left without fighting again.

I huffed out a breath and walked to his place.

Said some greetings to his parents, and walked to his room. He was shirtless. Wow, his back didn't change even a bit.

"Ashley."

He groaned. He hates me doesn't he? "What mom?"

I do NOT sound like his mom. "You assume to much." I replied. His back tense ever so slightly.

"If it's dinner, I'll pass mom."

"You assume that I'm your mom?" I asked. Annoyed and amused at the same time. His back tense again.

"Mom, don't mess with me."

"I'm not your mom, Ash!"

"Summers?" He jumped from his bed.

"I sound like your mom?" I asked amused.

Red crept from his neck slowly as he scowled. "Leave." Ouch.

"I wanted to say so-"

"Leave Ashley." He stared at the floor.

"Look at me."

"Leave."

"Winters! Look at me!" His eyes snapped up. His eyes was way darker than his usual shade. His eyes held so many emotions, that it confused me. His eyes held anger, confusion, frustration, and lastly, he seems broken. His eyes look broken. Heck, HE looks broken. I, was afraid. I truly was.

"Leave now!" He growled. I never saw him this angry. I backed out.

"I'm sorry." I said as I turned around. I walked away. I wanted to say more. To say I love you. But I couldn't.

"Ashley." His voice made me stop. My heartbeat quicken. He paused. "Why?" He asked. His voice was hoarse. It was so raw with emotion I couldn't breath.

"What?"

"Why did you want me to leave you alone? And then, you came to see me?" He looks like a lost child. I couldn't.

Tell him the truth. Don't hurt him again.

"I," I couldn't speak.

"You what?" He asked again.

"I love you." I blurted. Then I slapped a hand over my mouth. I stayed rooted to the spot. Unmoving. Well, more like unable to.

"You have a weird way of showing it." He said as he stepped forward. I stepped backwards in reflex.

"I'm sorry." Was all I could muster before I ran with all my might.

I heard him calling my name. But I couldn't go back. I don't want him to get hurt again. I'm a mess. My phone rang.

"Hello?"

"Hello."

"I have the results."

"What took you so long?"

"I'm sorry, but, it's back."

I feel like my ears had heard wrong. And then, I feel weak. I dropped my phone. I hear someone calling my name from somewhere. But I was so weak, I could barely stand. "Winters." Then it was all black.

Winters' POV

She ran. And for once, I was thankful for my running skills might fix this. Whatever this is. She stopped, so I did too.

I stopped and waited. And then, she stumbled around. I ran to her, just in time to catch her and hear her say my name.

Please no. Tell me it's not it again.
