EVE POV
i froze in time as my wolf howled out the word
'this can't be happening ' i thought
"i have to go" i blarted out before turning on my heels and runing to my car
i drove away without thinking as tears started to form in my eyes .i clutched on the steering wheel as i drove aimlessly 'that thing can't be my mate' .
'dont disrespect our mate" my wolf warned"
"'she is not my mate" i snapped.
"well ,she is"she snapped back .i just blocked my mind and drove like a hollow shell through the traffic free road .
my car stoped in front of palace .i subconsciously drove back to my home.
i got out of the car and threw the key to the butler to park it.
i walked inside as maids bowed at me and wishing me good morning and stuff.i didnt wish back as usual. why should I. they are just filthy maids afterall.i climed the stairs and entered the library to find my grandmother sitting on a couch with a giant book in her hand .she closed the book as i entered the library to get up and give me a hug .i missed her actually.
"hello Eve.how are you? i missed you"
"i am fine .and i missed you too" i replied hugging her back
she pulled away from the hug and looked in to my eyes
"whats bothering you my child?"
uffff.......how i hate this!!!!.she can always tell when something is wrong .its impossible to lie to her .
"its nothing grammy" i faked a smile
"now dont lie to me ,you know...
she was cut off as my mother entered the room wearing her as usual detached expression
"Eve,did you find your mate?"
couldn't she at least fake that she cared ?
"i am fine,thank you for asking"i said with all the sarcasm i could manage in my voice
"dont disrespect you mother ,the queen. Eve"she growled
'wow now she is growling at me'
"i just wanted to inform you that i arrenged you to be mate with the alfa of silver moon pack .you have 2 months time left to find your mate. if you can't find him within time,you will be married off to king silver " .she didn't find it necessary to waste more words as she left immediately after the little speech leaving me speechless.
"everything will be alright"grammy came up behind me putting a hand on my shoulder.
"but....."
"shhh,its ok .i know you found your mate ."
i was shoked beyond words as i turned around to face her .
"how do you..."
"your eye is glowing ...your skin is glowing. ..you are glowing basically "she stated matter of factly
"why dont you say that to your mother .is not he good enough for the royals?"
"i dont know a thing about them .and they just came from jungles"
"they hanh?" grammy raised her eyebrows
"its a girl..??"
i stayed silent a long moment before nodding slightly
"thats interesting "she said getting comfortable in the couch
"i dont know grammy...i am so confused. how can my mate be a girl?"
"it's not actually uncommon. it never happened in royals before but it happens to normal wolf once in a while "
"but she is so weird. .. " my wolf growled inside my hade cutting me off
" looks like your wolf doent like you saying stuff about your mate" grammy chuckled
"i am going to head back to the academy" i sighed getting up
"stay safe" grammy said hugging me once again
"i will "
" and bring your mate with you next time .i want to see her"she shouted after me as i walked down the stairs
"i dont want this mate"i thought starting the car engine as i drove back to the academy.

beep beep beep........
the alarm went off just beside my ears .i picked it up and smashed it in my hands getting a piece of glass stuck in my palm in process .i groned sitting up in pain .'not again' i thought pulling out the glass .being a wolf it healed preety quickly .looking at the wall clock it was 5:30 am allready. 'shit' i cursed .the class starts from 6 .i am gonna be late again.i hurried through my moring routine before throwing on some descent clothes and getting out of the dorm grabbing my training bag .i walked rather ran down the hallway and entered the alpha arena to find all the usual students and masters plus dr.parker with five other council members inside.
A strong scent of sandle wood heat my nose as my eyes drefted off to its source. and there she was standing beside doc in a white suit with black shirt and white tie.her hair left loose wild streaming down her back like waves of Atlantic.
i snapped back to reality as i heared doc announcing something over the microphone
"good morning students "he begun
"i know you are wondering why i am hear today at your training. i would like to inform you that there is nothing to worry about.the honourable council members as well as myself wanted to see the progress of the future alphas."
he declared
"i also want to introduce you to our new alpha level candidate ,Durga"he said turning everyone's attention to my mate.i mean the new girl.
"why does she smells like a human?" Rayan the alpha of the werelions asked crossing his arms .
"she doesn't, you are probably smelling me"doc laughed it off awkwardly
the answer didnt seem to satisfy him but he let it go anyway
"Helen ,prepare for box training in area 5 ,other students wait in the gallery "our coach instructed over speakers"
Helen the only fox alpha headed to the arena while us,the wolfes went to the gallery waiting for our turn along with other students .
i could see Durga standing behind doc as he instructed something to her .she nodded and moved from behind him .my breath halted as i saw her making her way towards us.her scent burning through my sence making me insane. she stoped in front of us and awkwardly mumbled a hello."hello " my friends gretted back togather. wired .they seemed to like her genuinely. "hey girl .how have you been??"Natasha yelled pulling her hands to make her seat beside her.a pang of jelousy shoot through me as i saw natasha touching her hand.
i shook my head to get rid of the feeling but it only escalate as Natasha pulled her closer to get her hair in a braid .
"let me take care of that "i blurted out even before i could stop my self .
Natasha gave me a look but didn't say anything and mooved back letting me seat behind Durga.i took her hair in my hand and started to get it in a braid parting it in three portion .i got lost as i worked my way through the dark silky waves. sparks of current run through my body as my fingers sometimes accidentally touched her back .i felt a little disappointed as even her endless looking hair came to an end .i grabbed the rubberband from my hair and tied the end.
"Eve,denis, kenichi,natasha and aurther. report in arena 5 for scenario training" the coaches voice boomed through the spekers.
we got up and headed to the arena .i was glad for the distraction from her .it was being too tempting to keep my thoughts straight with her that close.
we walked into the arena as the whistle indicating the start of training was heared .the scenario started to set up around us but something seemed off.the jungles around seemed too dark and the floor beneth us turned into a sticky mess sinking us inside."sudents get out of there ..."our coach screemed in the mick as the whole scene started to glitch .we tried to run out but was pushed back by a invisible barrier .
a hissing sound pierced through our ears from deapth of the trees .
"is that.." kenichi begun
"shadowclans?"aurther completed looking terrified beyond words.
something zoomed past us in lightning speed leaving a trail of black smoke.yes definitely shadowclans.
now i was officially scared .the shadowclans were the most dangerous creature in existence. actually they didnt exists as they were not alive but were corrupted souls huddled togather to form the most feared thing in supernatural world.we were strong but not strong enough to deal with shadowclans i was sure .how did they got inside was the first question but it was not the time to think as we could hear the guardians trying to enter the force field failing miserably and doc screming over the speakers.
i saw a shadow creature creeping its way towards us as as we sank further inside the mud .i closed my eyes to let the shift take over my body .second ticked by but the change didnt happen."i cant shift"kenichi cried out
"me niether"i cried back
now i was panick striken .it will take a blink for the clans to snap out our heads from our body if we cant dont shift.a horried shrik filled the air as a shadowclan came out of thin air and grabbed denis by his neck .he kicked and struggled in its grip but it didnt even flinch.we stood there horrified as other clans started to appear and circle us .
denis was fighting for breath as the creature tightened its grip on his neck .
i could hear his mate's cries outside the arena .she must have senced his denger and came running.i could not just stannd there and see him die.i launched forward aiming the beasts torso only to get caught mid air by its tail and thrown on a tree.the impact made my body shake as could feel my rib breaking .i lay their gasping for air as a i saw denis struggling for his last breaths.tears blurred my vision seeing my best friend slowly dieing in front of my eyes .
i closed my eyes not wanting to see the end.suddenly a strong aroma of sandle wood hit my nostrile .my eyes shoot open and their she was standing behind the beasts looking ridiculously small compared to it
."vabatu tam gachhami"she said more of ordered in a calm voice .
the creature turned around and eyed Durga.
she repeated the words again with the same calm tone.
the creature watched her curiously as it threw denis away like a rug doll.
My breath was hitched as i saw her standing face to face with the clan .nobody ever went that near to a clan and came back alive to tell the story.my wolf was roaring inside me trying to go and shield our mate but i could not shift .
i watched in horror as the clan opened its mouth revelingall the lurking darkness inside it ready to bite off her head .i could not even close my eyes as the horror unfolded infront of me.i jumped up avoiding the pain shooting through my body and ran towards them .i almost reached the beast when it turned around and roared on my face.i stood there frozen waiting for it to end my life when a light came out of its chest. it shriked out with pain as the light torn it inside out before it disappeared completely into a blast of light.
"what the hell just happened? "i murmured trying to regain my vision. as the light slightly faded away i could see Durga emerging out of the light with a bright aurora surrounding her .she crooked her head to the side eyeing the other clans who were now hiding in deapth of the dark jungle.her hair untangled from the braid and flew around her.she slightly spread her hands by her side closing her eyes taking a stance and then a third eye snapped open on her forehead.

sorry guys for a late update.my 1st professional mbbs exam is coming up.and i am trying to study a bit.but i will try to update regularly. i am trying to find someone for the character of durga but cant find anyone perfect.
