"I fucking hate you."

"You wanna fuck me? I like the sound of that."

"Don't."

"Fine."

"I can't believe you got us into this mess."

"What!? Don't blame me for this shit!"

"Then whose fault is it that we're suddenly mascots for this stupid cafe?"

"Mine... but don't we look hella cool in these maid outfits?"

"No. We look hella gay."

"I thought you wanted to fuck me?"

I open my mouth to respond but before I could unleash my fury, a mother walked by. She shot us a death glare , yanked her kid closer, and covered his ears like we were some kind of walking crime against humanity.

Jason just shrugged. "I couldn't say no to her. You know I always fold when she asks me for a favor! She's my girlfriend, I live with her, and she's scary when she's mad..."

"Sometimes, I regret becoming your friend."

"Oh, come on, Dylan! This could be your big chance to get a girlfriend. Chicks dig guys who do stupid shit like this! It's hot or something."

"Jason, I'm going to strangle you."

"Ooo, kinky~"

Before I could throttle him, the universe decided to pile on more misery.

"Jason? Dylan?"

We turned, and there he was. Mr. Popular himself. Grayson.

Kill me now.

He stood there, smirking, looking like he stepped out of some male model audition. His hair was perfect, his shirt was effortlessly cool, and his stupid face oozed charm. Grayson was everything I wasn't, and that world adored him for it.

"Now, this is hilarious," He said, his gaze sweeping over our outfits.

"Hey Grayson," Jason said cheerfully, like we weren't standing there in frilly maid uniforms. This oblivious clown. "My girlfriend opened a maid cafe. Come in, get served by some pretty ladies. Maybe take one home."

Jason even winked. I groaned and rolled my eyes, praying for a sinkhole to open beneath me.

"I'll check it out then," Grayson said, amusement dripping from his tone.

Jason elbowed me. "Dylan, do the thing!"

I sighed, slumping my shoulders. Grayson's eyes locked onto me like a predator about to pounce.

With all the enthusiasm of a man going to his execution, I threw pink confetti into the air. It fluttered down like my last shred of dignity.

Jason wasn't done humiliating me. "Dylan, I think you forgot to give our new customer the full welcoming ceremony!"

"I never agreed to do the full thing."

"But Dylan," Grayson chimed in, his smirk widening, "I want the full welcoming ceremony. Aren't we friends?"

My eye twitched. Friends? This bastard hadn't been my friend since middle school. He'd been a thorn in my side ever since.

"Tell Stephanie I got mauled by a bear," I muttered, ripping off my maid headband and walking off without looking back.

Behind me, Jason burst out laughing. Grayson's voice carried after me, smug as ever. "I'll make sure to tell her. Take care, Dylan."

Kill me. Just kill me.
