The lunch finished a while ago, and now, I'm doing my job like usual, very concentrated, and adamant to finish it before leaving. Mr. Kim has gone to a meeting, and I was supposed to go with him too, but he politely told me that my presence wasn't needed there. So I've stayed to finish the other works I have. Mr. Kim hasn't arrived yet, but he told me that he would arrive during lunch. Maybe he has gone to some expensive hotel.

Yesterday, I asked Mr. Kim about the rumor about his cousin coming, and he said that it's true, but he will come three months later, not now. It's strange, but during this week, me and Mr. Kim has talked a lot and got to know about each other. Maybe he's not that cold as people talk about him. It feels like he just likes to portray himself in a certain way.

We didn't talk about much, though, but some normal stuff like: favorite colors, movies, destinations, hobbies. It was a great experience.

Today, he even invited me to go to lunch this Sunday. My soul left my body when he asked me the question; it literally took me a moment to process his words and then give him an answer, which was a yes.

I'm obviously nervous about it, I've never gone alone out with someone, let alone an Alpha. In my school days, I would be the one who the other students wouldn't like to invite because of my extreme shyness. If I ever had to go out with them because of some projects, I would do my work silently. I never liked to interact with them because there were plenty of times they made fun of me, which really hurt me, considering I'm a sensitive person. Sometimes, I would be the only one doing all work in a group project while they would be backbiting about other people. I prefer to stay away from these types of toxic people, I'm glad that the school is over.

The sound of the opening door put a stop to my thoughts, and I look at the direction of it. My heart flutters as I see Mr. Kim, entering the cabin, he looks at me while closing the door and shows a small smile. I get up from my chair and bow a little, "good afternoon, sir."

"Good afternoon to you too, Mr. Jeon. How are things going?"

"All good, sir. Did you have lunch?" I get embarrassed internally while asking the question.

"Yes, I had." He starts walking towards his table. "Thank you for your concern." I blush at his words. "How about you? Did you have lunch?"

"Ye-" my voice cracks, so I clear my throat. "Yes, sir. I had my lunch.

He sits down, his arms crossed on the table as he looks at me sitting down.

"I met a friend while coming back, so I decided to have lunch with him, you know, talking about some old stuff."

"Mm, I understood. It's always good to bring back your old memories just to be happy." I smile genuinely.

"You're right, Jungkook. And do you bring back your old memories with your friends?"

"Umm, sometimes with my parents but not friends: I never really had one until now."

"Until now? Who's your friend now?"

"Park Chaeyoung. We've become very close to each other during these months."

"Hmm... good. Anyway, how did your move-in to a new house go?"

"Pretty good. I've settled there last weekend and my parents helped me a lot."

"That's good. But now, let's get back to work."

He announces, and we both get back to our works. It's very sweet talking to him, I feel butterflies in my stomach every time we talk. There's an invisible connection between us, and I can feel it, and I ask myself if he can feel it too.
