As they stood in front of the big, wooden door once more, a sense of uneasiness fell upon the room. Wooyoung couldn't shake the feeling they were being watched which only made him want to leave even more. He wrapped his hand around the knob, twisting as much as he could but nothing moved.

"Did you lock it when you came in?" he asked, looking at Mingi and Hongjoong.

"No, but let's try either way" Mingi inserted the key and twisted the knob to no avail. Wooyoung also gave it a shot with his own key, but it seemed that all the jiggling and twisting in the world couldn't get that door to open. They were locked inside the manor.

"W-what's going on?" Jongho asked, peeking from behind his boyfriend.

Wooyoung turned to look at everyone. "The door's locked"

"What do you mean locked? We have two keys; you're telling me none of them work?"

"No, we tried and the door won't open" Mingi intervened, his hands going through his hair in a frustrated way.

Yeosang had sat down on the side of one of the red sofa's, with Seonghwa keeping guard not too far away whilst Yunho and Jongho went to check the lock again and again before arriving to the same conclusion Mingi and Wooyoung did; there was no opening that door.

Yunho chuckled nervously, twisting the knob and rattling the door. "This doesn't make any sense. We opened that door a few hours ago, why is it stuck now???"

No one said a word. Hongjoong looked at him with apprehension, nibbling at his bottom lip.

"Why is no one else freaking out???"

Jongho held out his hand, "Babe, calm down"

Yunho scoffed but stayed silent. Looking around the high ceiling and dirty corners of the room, Wooyoung kept going over and over tonight's event. He couldn't be sure but something around this house kept him on edge. It wasn't the creepy décor or the loud rain pouring on top of the century year old roof, it was something else, a feeling of unease he couldn't explain.

"San" he ended up saying. He may have only called one boy, but he caught the attention of seven. "You came through the window, right?"

Said boy was leaning against the wall, playing with his flashlight and making shadows on the wall. "Yeah, the bedroom window upstairs. Why?"

"There's a theory I want to test. I'll be right back"

"Wait, where are you going?" Mingi asked.

"I'm going to check Mr. Jeon's bedroom" he said as if nothing, making the rest of the boys scoff and start speaking on top of each other. Wooyoung extended his arms, speaking loudly enough to make his friends shut up. "I'll be fine, I'll just be upstairs"

"No way you're going up there alone" Yeosang exclaimed, finally getting up.

"So you're coming with me?"

"No way" the blonde answered sitting back down.

"I'll go with you" Everyone turned to look at San. "So I can tell you exactly where I came in and stuff"

Wooyoung may have played tough guy but he wasn't too happy about going up stairs to that creepy second floor alone so he may not have known San for more than an hour, one guy was better than no guy.

They each grabbed a flashlight before going up the stairs. The wooden steps still creaked unbelievably loud making them both run up the stairs and to Mr. Jeon's bedroom. It still saddened Wooyoung to see the empty space all around him, he could only imagine what this room must have looked like with the couple living happily together. He hadn't noticed that he stood right under the door frame, still technically outside.
