You wake up in your bed, as always. It's just another day in the monastery. You (aka y/n), Morro, and the other students have to get ready for training. All of you are around the age of 15, except Sensei Wu. You groggily get out of bed stretching. You head over to your closet to find your training outfit. You move through the clothed hangers trying to find it. "Aha! There it is!" You grab the outfit off of the hanger. You pull your nightwear off and begin to put on your training outfit. You quickly finish and set your pajamas on your bed. You put your slippers on and head to the training room. There you see your rivals. You've always gotten along with everyone (somehow) but you don't trust them or care about them deeply. You aren't usually a ball of joy, especially when you lose. Wu clears his throat. "Alright, Ninja. Today is just a practice day. No powers, only physical attacks using your arms, legs, etc. And when I say no powers, I mean no powers." He looks directly at one of your rivals. More specifically, Morro. You and Morro have been rivals for the longest time. Always competing to become the green ninja or the 'chosen one'. You work hard, but he works harder. It's always the same. "Today you will work against the partner your choosing." Wu says, looking at all of his students. He points to you and Morro. "Y/n, Morro, You both will be working against each other." *"Why are we always put together?! We're supposed to pick a partner"* You think to yourself. Everyone else, pick a partner." Wu sits down on the flooring of the dojo. Watching everyone prepare for what comes next. "Why do I get teamed up with you again?!" Morro says angerly. "Because, no one else is at our skill level." You say. Morro rolls his eyes. "I barely need to try to even beat you." He says as he readies to attack you. You get into a defensive position. "I could be at you with my eyes closed" you huff. "Oh yeah,?" Says Morro. "Try me."
