The weeks that followed their countryside adventure were a whirlwind. With their decision to embrace their relationship publicly, Brittany and Cian found themselves navigating the complexities of love under the glaring spotlight of fame. While many fans celebrated their connection, the negative backlash also intensified, bringing with it a storm of unwarranted scrutiny.

Brittany sat in her hotel room, scrolling through social media, a frown tugging at her lips. The feed was a mix of supportive messages and vitriol. While she appreciated the love, the hate seemed to multiply, and the comments felt like daggers.

“Why do people have to be so cruel?” she muttered, tossing her phone onto the bed.

Cian, who had been pacing the room, stopped and looked at her with concern. “Hey, it’s just noise. Focus on the good stuff. We’re building something amazing here.”

“Easier said than done,” Brittany replied, running a hand through her hair. “I just feel like I can’t escape it. They’re watching every little thing we do.”

He walked over, taking her hands in his. “I know. But remember our castle moment? We decided to be open and face whatever comes together. It’s not always going to be easy, but we’ve got each other. That counts for something, right?”

She nodded, appreciating his unwavering support. “You’re right. I just need to be stronger. But sometimes it feels overwhelming.”

“Let’s take a break from it all,” Cian suggested. “We can go to my family’s cottage in the countryside for a weekend. No distractions, just us. We can recharge.”

Brittany’s eyes lit up at the idea. “I’d love that! Your family’s place is beautiful. Just us and nature sounds perfect.”

With a plan in place, they packed their bags and hit the road, eager for a weekend away from prying eyes and harsh judgments.

The cottage was nestled between rolling hills and a serene lake, the perfect backdrop for a weekend of peace. As they arrived, Brittany felt her anxiety begin to dissipate. The air was fresh, and the peaceful surroundings provided a much-needed escape.

“Welcome to my humble abode!” Cian announced, throwing open the door to the quaint little cabin. “Make yourself at home!”

Brittany stepped inside, taking in the rustic charm of the space. “This place is adorable! I can see why you love it here,” she said, setting her bags down.

“I spent every summer here as a kid. It’s my safe space,” he replied, his eyes twinkling with nostalgia. “And now it can be ours.”

They settled in, and after a quick unpack, Brittany suggested they take a walk by the lake. The sun was beginning to set, casting a warm golden light across the water.

As they strolled along the shore, Cian picked up a smooth stone and tossed it into the lake, watching as it skipped across the surface. “You know, sometimes I think about what we’ll look back on in a few years,” he said, turning to her. “What kind of adventures we’ll have.”

Brittany smiled, feeling a warmth spread through her heart. “I can only imagine. As long as you’re there, I’m ready for anything.”
