Chapter 02 - The Journey Begins

One fine day, he sat in a park, lost in thought while developing a story that had ignited his creativity just a few days ago. With great focus, he was carefully crafting the plot. In a momentary distraction, he tilted his head up and caught sight of a girl in the distance. It was just a fleeting glimpse, and he soon returned to his writing.

Then, an unexpected touch on his shoulder sent shivers down his spine. He turned around to see who it was, and there, standing before him, was Lilly.
Lucas's mind raced as he tried to process the sudden appearance of Lilly. His heart pounded as reality set in, and he found himself speechless, unable to tear his gaze away from her. It was as if the world had faded, leaving only the two of them in that moment.

Lilly: Hey Lucas, What are you doing here?

Lucas gazes at her with surprise.

Lilly: Didn't you go to college?

Lucas continues to stare.

Lilly: Fine, sit down. I've walked a long way, and my legs are aching.

Both of them sit down on the chairs, but he's still captivated by her.

Lilly: Did you have your breakfast?

Lucas: He nods his head. (Saying Yes)

Lilly: I haven't eaten yet.

She starts unpacking her tiffin box.

Lucas is still in a daze.

Lilly: So, Lucas, how's college going? What have you been up to?

Lucas: I'm doing well, Lilly. How about you?

Lilly: I'm doing great, Lucas.

Lucas: I know Lilly, you always seem great to me.

Lilly (laughs): What about college?

Lucas: Well, I'm pursuing my Bachelor's degree, Lilly.

Lilly: Oh, that's nice. Do you often come to the park after college?

Lucas: No, I've already covered my attendance, so I can take it easy now.

Lilly: Oh, that's alright then.

Lucas: It's been such a long time! How's everything on your side of life?

Lilly: Well, I've been diving deep into the world of Arts. It's a journey filled with colors, emotions, and self-expression.

Lucas: That sounds amazing. I've been neck-deep in Computer Science and Engineering, working on some intricate projects involving AI and robotics.

Lilly: Wow, that's impressive! Your world sounds so technical, while mine is all about creativity and exploring the human experience.

Lucas: True, our paths couldn't be more different, but I'm fascinated by your artistry, Lilly.

Lilly: And I'm intrigued by your technical wizardry, Lucas.

In a pivotal moment, Lucas abruptly hears his name being called from a distance. He turns around to see who it is, and there, walking toward him, is his long-time friend, Kenneth.

But now immediately when he shifts his gaze back to where Lilly was, she has vanished into thin air....   She faded away.

It's as though the entire sequence of events in the past five minutes has been an elaborate illusion, leaving Lucas utterly bewildered and questioning the reality of the world around him.
