Moving in

As I walk towards the house a rush of cold wind snakes around my legs making me shiver. Taking a deep breath, I ring the doorbell. The next thing I know the door opens and I am welcomed by the face of Mrs Wilson. Before I could even take one step in the house she already seems to have her arms around me.
"Nicole! Awww darling welcome to the family!" she shouted.
Mr Wilson then walks towards me with his hands in his pockets. He greets me by a grin and a little nod. Let's just say that he looks like the sort of dad that thinks they're really cool but actually the complete opposite.
"Seriously hunny, get of the poor girl she must be terrified," said Mr Wilson. Finally, Mrs Wilson steps back so I can finally breathe again.
"I'm sorry sweetie I just get too excited. Come in, John will take your bags."
"Thanks," I said faking a smile.
"Okay you make yourself at home, I'll be with you in a minute," kindly said Mrs Wilson.
As I walk in I'm instantly hit by the warmth of the blazing fire. Walking up to the Christmas tree, I see that it is decorated with glittering gold and red tinsel and ball balls. When I reach out for one of the ball balls I see the dazed confused reflection looking back at me. I didn't recognise it anymore. I can see long dark hair, a pale face and the bluest eyes, not to mention the frown that lay upon my face and the lost look in my face. Suddenly, before I could turn around, I see a black and white excited dog running towards me at full blast.
"Ahh, help!" I screamed and before you know it Mrs Wilson is running towards me (not as fast as the dog though.)
"Nicole are you okay?" Asked Mrs Wilson.
"No not really!"
"Oh don't worry about Bowser, he's only being friendly."
Well with a name like Bowser I doubt it.
"Look I just have to put dinner in the oven and then I'll come and show you around, will you be alright?"
I look down at the dogs enlivened face. Bowser puts one of his paws on my leg. I couldn't tell if he wanted to jump all over me or wanted to kill me, "um I suppose"
"Okay good," said Mrs Wilson.
As soon as Mrs Wilson is out of my sight I quickly push the dog away from me and run for my life up the stairs.
"Woah, slow down," said Emma laughing.
"Umm, who are you?" I questioned.
"I'm Emma."
"Oh yeah I heard."
"So you must be Nicole?"
"Well yeah."
"Well it's nice to meet you."
"I wish I could say the same thing." I said looking smug.
Emma was a very pretty girl. She had long blonde hair that flowed round her body in lose curls. The smile on her tanned face was so bright it could light up a room filled with millions of people. Her green/blue eyes were so mesmerising she could have anyone under her control in seconds. Emma looked about 16, two year older than me.
"Looking for your room?" Asked Emma, smiling.
"Yes."
We walked down the hallway until we came to the last door on the left.
Opening the door Emma says,"well here it is."
"Thanks." I storm in and lay on the bed. I could feel Emma's eyes looking at me but I didn't dare look up. Slowly, she walks away but then very swiftly turns back.
"Look Nicole, I understand that you have a rough background but please can you try to be nice," nervously said Emma.
"Well that's the thing, I don't know my background," I whispered.
"Oh, well what you don't know can't hurt you."
"Look please I don't know you, I don't want to speak to you and I definitely don't want you to give me all this stupid advice." I could see her welcoming smile drop within seconds.
"Um right...okay well I'll leave you to it. I'm always here though."
Now I'm all alone. I walk up to the window at the back covered with sparkling white curtains. My hand gently pulls the curtain back and now I could nearly see the whole street. Smiling with curiosity, I look to the garden of the house next to this one. Faintly, I could see two girls, one about the age of me, one just younger, running around. They are laughing and screaming while holding something in their hands. Afterwards, I could see their dad lifting them up, spinning them around and chucking them on the trampoline. What looks like their mum runs out and sprays them all with water. They all start to run and laugh and their dad pulls her in and gives her a big kiss. Quickly, I shut the curtain. Their happiness was killing me. I slowly slide down the sky blue wall. I wrap my arms round my legs and burrow my head in my arms. A tear escapes from my eye and before I can catch it more start to come.
"Emma! Nicole! Dinners ready!" shouted Mrs Wilson from downstairs.
I don't want to go downstairs. I don't want to face the reality of my new life. I don't want a new family who act like they know you, new fake friends who stab you when you least expect it, a new home, a new school, a new me. I don't want this...
