Her worry

*michaels pov*
I had to be waiting for Maia's text for an hour before I called her. I figured I would surprise her this morning since it's our one year. one long hard year that we pushed through. when I saw her this morning after she pulled the blanket down I knew I never thought I saw her this beautiful. she looked absolutely perfect and even though she would never believe it if I told her that, it was true. after I gave her the ring I put It on her left ring finger. forever and always was how we went and that is how were gonna stay. she gave me my present. it was the watch I had been observing for the past two years. I could never ask for anyone better. she sat down on her bed as I put the watch on. I stood in front of her and she smiled. I could tell something was running through her mind though.
"What's wrong baby?" I asked her
"Nothing. Just tired."
"Stop lying."
"Fine. Well I'm late."
"How late?" I asked panicked
"Two days."
"Well let's wait out this month and if you know, it doesn't happen let's go somewhere and see what's up." I wasn't about to pick up and leave her just because she might be pregnant. That would mean leaving her and possibly leaving my kid. She seemed to think along the lines that I would leave her. I grabbed her hand reassuringly and held it.
"Babe, I'm not leaving you. even if you are pregnant. I love you too much and I love the thought of our fate being sealed because of a kid." She smiled bigger than ever. I leaned down and kissed her. she lied down on her bed and I cuddled her. No more than ten minutes later, her phone rang. I knew it was destiny. She answered it and put it on speaker.
"Hey boo." she said
"Hey were right outside."
"K. Can your mom drive Michael too?"
"Yeah."
"K. well be right out." She hung up the phone and I jumped off her bed and grabbed her hands to help her up. I pulled her close to me and kissed her again. I stayed behind her the whole way upstairs. I always forgot that she didn't live with her dad and stepmom anymore and that she was renting this house from a close family friend. She grabbed her bag then looked at me.
"Where's your bag baby?"
"Oh shit. I left it outback when I was waiting for you."
"Well hurry. Go get it!" She laughed at me. I ran outback, grabbed my bag and sprinted back inside. She was waiting for me. I grabbed her hand and we walked out. Destinys mom was waving at us. Maia gave me a nervous look and we walked to the car.
