School

*Destinys pov*
When I saw Maia and Michael walk outside I knew something was off. They walked up to the car and got in.
"Hey mama." Maia said to my mom.
"Hey daughta." she said back.
"Hey dez." Maia and Michael said at the same time.
"Hai." I said back. I saw Maia pull out her phone and start typing something. she looked up just as my phone rang. I looked at the message.
"Code 13. Lunchtime." It read. we have codes for everything. Code 13 however held importance. Code 13 meant ditch a  class period which she had classified as lunchtime, get a ride from jenna, and go get a pregnancy test. I saw her typing again. I had a feeling the same message was being sent to Jenna. I didn't have a car and my mom needed it in the mornings so that she could go to work. Maia's car was currently being borrowed because her sister needed a car. Michael crashed his car and he was saving up for one. So jenna was the only one with a car. I looked at Maia in the mirror and realized this was what was off. We were silent the whole car ride. When we finally pulled up at school we all jumped out of the car.
"Thanks mom!" Maia yelled at my mom. We walked together up to school. In the front doors we went and we immediately veered to the left and into our group. I went around and hugged everyone and Maia and Michael did the same.
"Happy anniversary!" Alissa shouted. I noticed that her left hand and Giancarlo's right hand were behind their backs and they had the gap between them closed off.
"Thanks guys." Michael answered. Maia was looking extremely pale.
"Um Maia, Jenna. Come with me to the bathroom please. Its my makeup again. It's bothering me." Maia and Jenna were the makeup experts. We walked to the bathroom and almost immediately Maia ran into a bathroom stall and started throwing up. I looked at Jenna.
"What time is it?" I asked her
"7:30. School doesn't start for another thirty minutes."
"Is that enough time for you to run to the store and get a test?" I asked
"Yeah I'll go now."
"Thank you jenna." Maia said between pauses. I ran into the stall and grabbed her hair which was dangerously close to her mouth.
"I didn't know you throw up this early into pregnancy." I said
"You don't. It's nerves." Maia replied. She wiped her mouth with a paper towel I handed her. "Thanks boo. That was awesome of you to save me like that." She said sitting on the bathroom counter.
"No problem love. That's what friends are for right?" I tucked her hair behind her ear just as Jenna came bursting into the bathroom.
"That has to be some kind of record." Maia said taking the three boxes and going into a stall. We waited until she was done then when she emerged with the three tests we ran forward.
"We still have to wait a minute." Maia said. So we sat and waited. A minute felt like an hour. Suddenly a mark started to appear. 2 lines in the shape of a plus.
"Your pregnant!" Jenna and I shouted at the same time.
"Oh shit." Maia said running back into the stall. I walked in and held her hair back once more. I grabbed her hand and we walked out. I noticed she had the tests in her pocket.
"Here mai." Jenna said handing her a piece of gum.
"Thanks." She said. We turned a corner and saw our group. Maia looked like she was about to toss again.
