Sophie Foster's POV

"it's Friday Sophie, you know what that means...." my dad Grady says, as he leans on the door of the kitchen as I stir my drink that tastes like coffee that Flori has me hooked on. I'm in my favorite red silk pj's so I'm not in the best outfit to help out with the animals, but oh well. I sigh.

"Grady, i'm not going to spend my whole weekend helping you out with the animals," I say. Putting my mug down, and looking Grady in the eyes. "but I will help"

Grady lets a playful smile tug at his lips and comes over and squeezes my shoulder. "good. Can we start know?"

I say sure, as I walk over to the door. Forgetting all about my coffee. But before I make it to the door, Keefe walks in with his signature smirk. He's a much more appropriate outfit which consists of a navy blue jurkin with shiny white buttons. "Grady, do you mind if I steal this lovely lady for a couple of minutes?" Keefe asks.

A flash of irritation crosses Grady's face but he quickly puts a fake smile on instead. "just be quick about it"

Grady then flashes Sophie a real smile before disappearing into the kitchen. I sigh in exasperation.

"Keefe! Couldn't you hold back annoying my dad for one second?" I say trying to give him a stern face, but I let a smile show through.

"oh your glad I'm here" Keefe says before leaning in and lightly kissing me.

"oh, you know me too well" I mumble under my breath, pulling away from the kiss.

"lets go for a walk Foster" Keefe whispers in my ear.

I smile, and head to the door intertwining my hand with Keefe's. But, again, I don't even make it to the door. Instead, I get sucked into a blinding light and disappear into a pit of darkness.

As I fall, I think of all the scenarios that could happen. 1, I get squashed like a pancake when I hit the ground. 2, I die of a heart attack before I even hit the ground. Then, out of nowhere, a big hawk scoops me up by its talons and drops me on the ground. As I look around, I see, well, nothing. Absolutely nothing. Just a white plain for miles and miles. There was no sky. Just a bright, white light above me like a dome of tarp. Right in the center of it all, there's three rocking chairs with three old ladies sitting in them. The lady on the left looked like a corpse. Her cheeks so sunken in, that they looked hollow. The middle one looked like a middle aged corpse. Really wrinkly, but with more of a younger look. The last one looked like the youngest out of the three but not by much. In a way, she looked the worst. Imagine your grandma got plastic surgery and your halfway there in imagining what she looked like.

"um..where am I, and who are you?" I question. Very annoyed to be kidnapped for the millionth time.

"we, the fates, have taken you to a place in your mind where everything is blank. This is the place where all your future memories go, but since the future hasn't happened yet, there's nothing here" they all announce in one voice, which made it 10 times creeper.

"you mean the fates from Greek mythology? I thought they were myths." I say, very confused. my old foster dad get it, foster parents. Sophie FOSTER. I know its bad, but I had to. used to read to me old tales about Hercules and the gods. Now that I know the Fates are real, does that mean that the old Gods and Goddesses are real too?

The fates all groan in exasperation. "foolish elf! Of course were real! If we weren't real, nothing would happen."

"Ok....so what does this have to do with me? and why have you taken it upon yourself to take me here, and confuse me." I mutter, not liking this at all.

"you must not let them now you are future. You must get them to trust them sooner" the fates say in unison.

"WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT" I scream, wanting to know what's going on.

"you may let them see your true potential. Get them to trust you." they explain without really explaining.

"who is 'them'?!" I question them.

The fates are then about to say something but instead of their voice coming out of their mouths, it was my old foster mum.

"Sophie Elizabeth Foster! You are going to be late for school!"

"ok, WHAT IS GOING ON!? IF THIS IS A DREAM, THIS IS THE WEIRDEST DREAM I'VE EVER HAD!" I scream at the fates. I just want to wake up! Then as if my prayers have been answered, I wake up.
