6 Years Ago, Yukigaoka Junior High
Hinata Shoyo the captain of the male volleyball club, is now competing against Kitagawa Daichi a school that was way out of their league. Despite being a third year in middle school this was his first competition, that's was his team are mainly composed of amateur players some of them doesn't even know the sport. He's very grateful that his friends that was from different clubs joined him and the first years too especially the manager he wasn't expecting which was one of the first years, the school's diamond — Reika Kanade.
He was so surprised when she handed her application form to him that he thought he was dreaming and slapped his face which probably weirded out the girl. If there was a witness no one could blame him, Reika Kanade was a legend in the making, she was the youngest female ice figure skater to be able to join The Japan Skating Federation at 8 years old, and now at 11 years old there are talks of her competing for the Female Division in Olympics, she's nice to her peers, respectful on her seniors and, excels in anything she does. And that legend in the making is currently asking to be the manager of the male volleyball club that hinata is in.
" I would like to excel in my writing since I heard that managers write a lot." Yes that is right, one of her flaw was her penmanship was worse than an elementary schooler.
Of course being hinata as he is accepted it, he was too dumbfounded to say no.
Despite thinking that maybe that was all the reason that Kanade joined them, he was proven wrong when he asked Kanade to toss to him. The toss was neigher too high or low like Izumi's it was just perfect and that somehow made hinata's chest tighten in an indescribable way probably because she was a teammate.
Hinata know have a manager that supporting them in the sidelines, and sometimes even coaching them as well as new teammates and his friends that joined him, so there's no way he would let the opposing team win.
That was what he thought but the last whistle that was blown to signify the game was echoing to his ears.
“What have you been doing these past three years?” the captain of the opposing side, kageyama yells gripping the net with a somewhat frustrated expression.
