"𝐍𝐨 𝐦𝐚𝐧 𝐨𝐫 𝐰𝐨𝐦𝐚𝐧 𝐰𝐡𝐨 𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐩𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐮𝐞 𝐚𝐧 𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐚𝐥 𝐢𝐧 𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐨𝐫 𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐰𝐧 𝐰𝐚𝐲 𝐢𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐞𝐬. -𝐃𝐚𝐢𝐬𝐲 𝐁𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬.
"Have you ID'd the body?" Hotch asks as himself and the team walk following, it's late at night and there's police and crime scene everywhere.
"It's a girl." Agent Payton replies.
"One of the missing girls?" Hotch asks.
"All I can tell you right now is, it's a girl."
"Did you draw up a list of those involved in the search?" Derek asks.
"You're going to find the parents of the girls on that list."
"Please tell me they didn't discover the body." Emily states and Callie nods with her.
"No, as soon as our dogs caught her scent, we kept them away from the scene."
"She's been missing 18 hours?" Spencer asks
"That's correct. We found the body five hours ago." Payton says as everyone looks down to see the body of the girl.
"Parents have been here all this time?" JJ asks facing Payton.
"Yeah, and I'm running out of excuses."
"I'm going to go talk to them." JJ says and before she goes off Derek turns around.
"JJ, I'll come with you." He says following her lead and Agent Payton thanks him.
"I got to be honest, guys. I'm glad you're all here because I have never seen anything like that." Payton says looking at them.
"The face and her hands have been obliterated." Hotch notices.
"Developed bruises, cuts. Layer upon layer." Callie says as she crouches down to look at the body.
"Bindings cut deep into her flesh." Spencer chimes.
"Around her neck, there's heavy bruising. She was strangled to death." Emily points out.
"A belt was used. You can see the indentation marks of a buckle." Spencer says and Callie spots it.
"But why destroy her hands and face?" Payton asks looking at the team.
"It indicates she knew the attacker." Hotch replies.
"By destroying her ID, they're hoping to delay you making a connection between the victim and the UnSub." Rossi explains to Payton.
"Gives him time to get away." Hotch says.
"Do you think the other girl's still alive?" Payton asks.
"Until we find her body, we should assume she is." Dave says before Aaron begins to speak.
