𝐒𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐨𝐧 3 𝐞𝐩𝐢𝐬𝐨𝐝𝐞 16: 𝐄𝐥𝐞𝐩𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐭'𝐬 𝐌𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐲 𝐩𝐭 2 - - ┈┈∘┈˃̶༒˂̶┈∘┈┈ - - "𝐈𝐭'𝐬 officer Lett's wife." Hotch tells the three agents coming out of the house.
"You send them home. You don't need them. You know what to do. You find that little son of a bitch. You find him, and do what's right." She speaks before turning away and leaving.
"Why do I get the feel she's not going to be the only one with that sentiment?" Derek questions.
"Stay here and work the room. Reid and I are going to go to the high school and talk to Owen's teachers and friends. We need to get a profile and figure out where he's going." Hotch replies and Derek and Callie nod before going back into the house.
"Hey are you cool to be back so soon?" Derek asks looking at the female next to him.
"I promise I'm okay. I know it sounds like denial." Callie states.
"Callie it is denial. You should've atleast taken some time to process not jump right back in, Elle did the same thing and how did that turn out." Derek states back causing her to let out a shaky sigh as she puts her hands through her hair.
"Don't bring Elle into this, drop it Derek." - - ┈┈∘┈˃̶༒˂̶┈∘┈┈ - - 𝐀𝐟𝐭𝐞𝐫 trying to bunch of passwords on Owen's computer Derek takes out his cell and calls Hotch putting him on speaker for Callie to hear too.
"You got something?" Hotch asks.
"An .mpg on Owen's computer. You really need to see this." Derek states and Callie agrees nodding.
A few hours later Callie decides to head to the station to help deliver the profile when she gets there she is just in time and JJ flashes her a quick smile before turning back to the sheriff.
"Once you've heard the profile, you'll understand." JJ states.
"We are wasting time. Owen is here, and we should be knocking on doors." Lawford argues.
"That's not a good idea." Hotch responds.
"And why is that?" Lawford questions.
"Because Owen's watching. He's monitoring the news. Right now, he thinks you think he's gone. He feels safe. If we start knocking on doors, he's going to know that he's not. He's going to feel trapped." Hotch explains.
"Why the hell should we care about this little bastard's feelings?" Lawford says and Callie furrows her eyebrows in a frown.
"All right, we're here to help you bring in Owen Savage with minimum loss of life." JJ states before Callie speaks up.
"The profile we are about to give you tells you the best way to do that." Callie comments arms folded.
"Owen Savage fits the profile of a type of school shooter known as an injustice collector. He's trying to avenge perceived wrongs." Spencer speaks his hands in his pockets.
"If he's a school shooter, why hasn't he hit the school yet?" A sheriff asks and Emily answers.
"Jordan. Most of these guys are so angry and hopeless, they just want to kill as many people as possible and commit suicide. But Jordan gives him a reason to live." She replies.
"Otherwise, he's a textbook case. His life was one torment after another. His teachers gave up on him, his classmates bullied him, and his father blamed him while giving him access to guns. Given these conditions, you're actually quite fortunate." Spencer explains.
"It sounds like you're saying these victims deserved this." Lawford states.
"We're not. Nobody deserves this." Hotch replies.
"But you could've prevented it." Spencer chimes in, Hotch looks unimpressed and Emily's and Callie's mouths widen slightly.
"Reid, can I talk to you?" Hotch asks as he leads them not to a room to talk. After their talk Spencer walks out frustrated and Hotch comes out to head JJ apologising for Spencer.
"He was out of line, and I'm sorry. We want to release the .mpg from Owen's computer to the media." JJ voices.
"He left it because he wants us to know why he's doing this. And by releasing it, it could temporarily dissipate his urge to kill and buy us some time." Hotch adds on.
"Time for what?" The sheriff asks.
"To figure out a way to bring him in peacefully. Jordan's innocent and Owen wants to die, and if you choose to go knocking on doors, I think it's gonna get her killed." Hotch explains and Callie nods before the sheriff starts again.
"After the funerals tomorrow, I won't have a choice. Until then, you do what you think is best to find them and bring him in."
"Thank you." Callie says simply with a faint smile.
"If y'all would excuse me." The sheriff says getting up and walking past the three agents. Callie gets up from leaning on the desk and closes her eyes for a second trying to get her thoughts to stop racing around and her breathing to slow down. - - ┈┈∘┈˃̶༒˂̶┈∘┈┈ - - "𝐎𝐰𝐞𝐧'𝐬 mother's death left him with severe issues of abandonment. If we can get Jordan away from him, we'll save her, and take away his reason to live." Spencer explains.
"He'll take his own life." Hotch states.
"Is that the goal?" Callie questions rubbing her hand up and down her sleeved arm.
"It's the only way we can save Jordan." Derek points out.
"How can we get her to leave him?" Hotch questions.
"He's kept Jordan in the dark. She doesn't know about the murders." Spencer replies .
"You want to tell her." Hotch says his arms folded over each other per usual.
"If we can." Derek voices.
"We can get her to turn herself in." Emily adds on.
"But even if we could talk to her, the only person she trusts is Owen." Hotch points out.
"There's one other person. She might be able to get a message to Jordan." Emily says looking at them all before going. - - ┈┈∘┈˃̶༒˂̶┈∘┈┈ - - "𝐒𝐞𝐧𝐝 the .mpg. Reid, do it." Hotch instructs and Spencer takes a usb drive out and sticks it into the computer, sending it.
"Tell her, when the police come for you, Owen will kill you and kill himself." Emily tells Spencer.
"You lie. Owen loves me." Spencer reads Jordan's reply before Jordan logs off.
"She's gone. Now what?" Spencer asks waiting for a reply and Hotch speaks up.
"We've planted the seed. Now we wait." Hotch responds simply.
