Ena 3rd person pov:

Not a single peep ruined the quiescence of the eerily silent night. With everyone else fast asleep (or at least she thought), Ena sat upright in her bed. She wasn't even thinking about how tired she was, rather she had a lot to sort out in her mind.

Ena was an organized person, unlike her brother, whom she despised with all her heart. So, she couldn't drift into sweet dreams if she didn't think first.

For starters, there was the incident with one of her best friends. She had been faced with life, and chose the ladder of her options. That had left Ena hanging as well. (I'm sorry for making a pun out of that).

Even just thinking of this made her eyes red and puffy. however, she prioritized her friends over anything else. So no matter how many tests that she had procrastinated her studies for, Ena would make sure that her friends didn't follow in her late friend's footsteps.

Though her head was spinning from the anxiety, and her eye bags worsened, she could not rest until her thoughts were organized.

Deep in thought, Ena didn't hear her dogmatic and clumsy brother accidently trip and fall.

Akito 3rd person pov:

Akito felt the wall for the light switch. Not realizing that his foot was caught in a cord, he lifted his leg to take a step. His life flashed before his eyes as he fell face forward into the wall. The brief thud interrupted the quiet night.

Had Ena not been spacing out, she would have barged in his room and shut him up.

With a sigh, Akito got to his feet and turned on the light. Then, he located his phone and carefully picked it up.

As he thought, his friends had been asking him about school again. They had an exam the next day and his friends must have forgotten to study.

Oh, right. Akito remembered that it would be Monday again. School was arguably more boring than the nights he couldn't sleep. All of the erudite teachers with their pedantic lectures would make Akito more sleepy than if he were lying in bed.

However, having friends made school more tolerable. Still, he was awful at most subjects. If Ena would only spend a few minutes to help Akito study, he might be passing math. Some big sister she is, Akito thought with a frown.

But he understood that Ena was busy quite often. As Akito sat down in his desk, he started to reply to the texts. However, his responses were not very helpful, as he often fell asleep in class.

Ena 3rd person pov:

The next day, Akito woke up early. On the other hand, Ena struggled to leave bed. She had slept over her alarm, so Akito had to wake her up. He barged through her door and shouted. "Ena, you're gonna be late for school!"

Ena groaned as she sluggishly crawled out of bed. Through her torpor, she pulled on her clothes. As she opened her door, she scanned the area. It seemed that Akito had already left. Knowing she was probably already late, Ena grabbed a piece of toast and put it in her mouth. her other hands were used to carry bags.

"Ena! I need your help!" Ena heard someone call for her from another room, probably her dad. However, Ena had a piece of toast in her mouth and she couldn't respond. instead she decided to ignore him. It was probably just another useless whim that wasn't necessary.

As she opened the door, she heard her dad's last boisterous yell. "Ena! Get the hell over here you piece of sh-" Ena slammed the door before she could hear the rest of what her dad had to say. With her arms full, she ran at top speed towards her bus stop. Looking like she could trip at any moment, Ena approached the bus. She made had made it just in time, the last of the students were boarding.

"You sure have penchant for being late." A familiar voice startled her. "It's like this every day."

Ena turned around to see Mizuki, her closest friend at the time. "You think this is my fault?" Ena said as she boarded the bus. Mizuki followed behind her, "uhh, yea." Ena walked to a seat near the middle of the bus and sat down with a sigh. Mizuki took a seat next to her, they noticed that Ena looked quite solemn. "Ena, it's about Mafuuyu isn't it?"

Hearing this, Ena perked up like someone pressed a button on her.

Akito 3rd person pov:

Akito could hear everything, his stupid sister was always so loud. Apparently Mafuuyu - or whatever that purple girl's name was - has decided that she wanted to disappear. Akito laughed, of course his sister didn't want to share this with him. Ena didn't even trust him with her computer's password.

Hah, I heard everything, Ena. Akito thought to himself.
