Headcanon Backstory: Sage had grown up in a relatively good and happy home. Her father was a human named Scolace Robinson, and her mother was a djinn named Beatrice Robinson. She grew up thinking she wasn't a part of the supernatural community — didn't even know the supernatural was real — though she did suspect it might be real. Her parents wanted to keep her away from the supernatural world.
After Sage met Finn, and fell in love with him did she get to find out about vampires. Before she even found out about vampires, she always felt drawn to Finn, like she just had to get to know him. Even after finding out his secret, she didn't run away scared. Honestly that made her love him even more than she already. Probably due to being a djinn, she felt understood in a way — even though she didn't know she was a djinn — because she always felt different from other people, darker in a way.
Obviously she got to find out that Finn's family are the first vampires to exist — to their knowledge — are known as the originals. Sage had asked multiple times for Finn to turn and at first he said no because he hated what he and his family were, but eventually he said yes because he wanted to be with her forever. Later on he says he did it because his passions over took his morals.
She doesn't even know that she was a born hybrid, half human and half djinn. Now she's another type of hybrid. A first of her kind of hybrid as well, half djinn and half vampire. Which actually makes her stronger than a regular vampire on par with being 900 years old. Even though she's hybrid, she's still not stronger than an original but she almost comes close to being as strong as one.
In 1912, during this time, she was a professional boxer. One evening, Damon arrived at the arena and she flirted with him. She later found him feeding on a girl, and told him how to feed properly and have fun as a vampire. She said that women aren't just for food, but also for pleasure, and points out a woman for Damon to feed on. She influences him to become who he is, much like Lexi had done for his brother, Stefan.
Author's Note: I hope you guys like most of the information about Sage, because there wasn't much to learn about Sage so I decided to make some of it up. Like a headcanon, I will be doing this for the characters that we don't know much about.
I love The Originals but I'm kinda upset that we never got to Sage in more flashbacks especially for Finn or that she never got resurrected. I just feel like Finn really loved so wouldn't be want to go at least bring her back in another person's body like he was.
