joe goldberg never believed that he would be able to find love. of course, the hopeless obsession he felt every time that he would start doing horrendous things for people was evident. he would always have that feeling — the fact he had to be so fixated on someone to show them how much he actually cared about them. infatuation wasn't a bad thing, in his eyes. he was just showing people what they deserved, and what they needed. especially if they were so pure that he could only wish that they would accept the amount of love he would give them.
lorraine rosewood was no exception for this policy he created for himself. love was a strange thing, after all. and shortly after his reunion with the beloved city of new york, he had managed to pull himself down into the deep abyss of his mind once more and find himself so hopelessly in love with her that he was unable to do anything apart from guard her with his life. what from? nothing in particular. but he was her's, and she was his. and that was how it would work from then on. they would be together forever. he had to make sure that would be the case.
