2018

Today, is the day where the last term of the school year starts. I have a small circle of friends; Chiara, Fabio, Cami, but that's really it. Atleast I have a nice, drama-free friendship group.

I lean against the wall with my friends, waiting for the first lesson to begin. I'm not really listening to their conversation. Instead, I'm listening to the conversation by my right.

That familiar laugh, that familiar voice from four years ago that is the same, maybe just a bit deeper.

I hear the giggles of the two girls and him.

Slowly, I tilt my head to look at him, and he's taking a photo with two girls, both of his arms slung around their shoulders.

When the photo is done, he makes eye contact with me.

Those stupid girls give me a nasty look.

"Y/N." Cami says, tapping me on the shoulder.

Shit, I wasn't even listening.

"Yeah?" I ask.

"Are you coming to America too? One-hundred percent?"

I shake my head.

"My parents said I can't, they said I should stay here. I'm sorry." I reply, smiling.

Cami smiles back. "Oh, it's okay, don't worry about it, Y/N. Earlier Fabio said he told his father not to let me go so I could stay in Collodi. What a jerk." The girl lets out a small laugh. "Anyways, are you coming to Brando's party? Everyone's going?"

I think for a moment. A party sounds good, but at Brando's house?

"Maybe.." I murmur.

Chaira smiles at me. "Come on, Y/N. Like Cami said, everyone's coming. You're never the one to miss a party."

I nod.

"Here comes pudding bowl!" One of those mean girls say, laughing. "What was you doing in the toilets? Making another porn video? Send it to us!"

I don't know her name, but the girl with short black hair just walks past them, ignoring their harsh words.

"Do you think she'll go?" Fabio asks, gesturing over to the black haired girl walking past us.

"Wait, guys. I need to go to my locker." I say to them all. "I'll see you later, yeah?"

I curl my lips into a soft smile, and they all return that gesture.

"Bye, Y/N." Fabio waves.

"Bye, Fabs."

"See you later." Chiara smiles.

I then begin to walk away from my friends, taking one last glance at Brando, who's still with those girls.

Why am I even still missing him?
