Chan remained close to Bin, seated with his head resting on Bin's chest. Bin gently played with his hair, his gaze fixed on Chan's face. Exhaustion was evident—dark circles etched beneath his eyes—and the sight made Bin's heart ache. He softly caressed Chan's cheek, leaning down to place a gentle kiss on his forehead before sighing and leaning back.
A faint ache flared up near his stomach, a reminder of his own injury, and he winced quietly. Just then, the door opened softly, and Bin looked up as Seungmin, Hyunjin, and Jeongin slipped inside, closing the door quietly behind them. They carried food, but the smell triggered a wave of nausea for Bin—another lingering effect from being shot.
"Is he sleeping?" Hyunjin asked, nodding toward Chan.
Bin nodded, still running his fingers through Chan's hair. "Yeah.. let's keep it down. He looks like he hasn't slept in days."
"You're right," Seungmin whispered, settling on the couch and setting down the food. "He's barely slept since you were hurt." The others nodded in agreement, each taking a seat, their voices low as they tried not to disturb Chan.
Bin looked down at Chan's peaceful face, his own expression clouded with sadness. The thought that Chan had spent days without sleep because of him weighed heavily on his heart, filling him with guilt. He reached out, brushing his thumb gently over Chan's cheek before looking away, feeling that ache intensify.
Days went by with Bin in the hospital. Han and Lino were soon released since their injuries were only minor. Seungmin and Jeongin would visit often, bringing food or even small gifts. Chan stayed by Bins side at all times, he didnt even go back home. He slept on a chair, sometimes he didnt sleep and would just watch Bin, making sure he was okay and safe as he slept.
Han would visit Bin, just next door. He would talk to him about things, and they would eat together. But not for long since Han was still slightly hurt.
After days of tension and worry, Lee Know had spent hours at Han's side during his recovery, offering quiet comfort as Han struggled with his own pain. Now, both of them were ready to take a step back, to find a brief moment of peace.
"Let's get out of here," Lee Know suggested, smiling gently at Han. "You've been stuck in the hospital long enough. We could use some fresh air, don't you think?"
Han, still a little pale from his own recovery, hesitated for only a moment before agreeing. He couldn't deny that being cooped up inside for so long had drained him.
"Yeah," Han smiled, the exhaustion still visible on his face, but a hint of excitement in his eyes. "Let's do it. We'll make it a small date, just the two of us."
Lee Know and Han walked through the park, enjoying the quiet evening. There was no rush, no immediate worry. The streets were quiet, the night calm. Han kept glancing at Lee Know, the subtle hint of concern still lingering in his mind.
"Are you sure you're okay?" Han asked again, his voice light but filled with care. Lee Know had been so determined to keep going after their recovery, but Han could tell something had shifted in him since the whole ordeal.
Lee Know smiled faintly, a little tired. "Yeah, I'm just.. I don't know, maybe I'm more worn out than I thought."
Han chuckled softly, nudging Lee Know playfully. "You've been trying to act like a superman. You can't fool me."
Lee Know rolled his eyes but laughed lightly, brushing his hair out of his face. "It's nothing. I'm just ready to be back to normal, you know?"
Han reached out to hold Lee Know's hand, squeezing it gently. It was a small, comforting gesture—a touch they both needed. Han stopped Lino, staring up at him. He leaned in, kissing his lips and then looked him in the eye pulling away. Lino slightly blushed, staring down at him. His hand went to Hans waist, leaning in again. They kissed passionately, savoring the moment. "I love you, Hannie, I love you so-"
