(Jackie checks her phone, eyes widening)
JACKIE (CONT'D)
Yes! The Sekai Taikai is coming to Oceanbuff!
(Cut to a shot of the Sekai Taikai poster on Jackie's phone)
JACKIE (CONT'D)
(reading)
The world's greatest karate tournament, right here in Oceanbuff.
(Cut to Jackie's excited face)
JACKIE (CONT'D)
I have to enter. This is my chance.
(Cut to R.J. entering the kitchen)
R.J.
Good morning, Jackie. What's got you so excited?
JACKIE
(eagerly)
The Sekai Taikai! It's coming to Oceanbuff.
R.J.
(concerned)
Jackie, you know you're a Ranger now. Competing in the tournament could put you at risk.
JACKIE
(determined)
R.J., I've trained my whole life for this. I have to do it.
R.J.
(sighs)
We'll talk about it later. Your training session is waiting.
(Cut to Jackie, focused)
JACKIE (CONT'D)
(to herself)
I'll make it work. I have to.
