7:23 am"WAKE UP" was yelled from in front of my door as I was scrolling on a social platform on my phone, i sighed as i yelled back at the door. "IM AWAKE". Not the first time i have had to yelled that back the week. I was laying on my bed in the pitch dark. As the darkness in my room hugged me I knew that it would soon pass. I turn on the lamp next to my bed, it was surprisingly harder to reach the button. When I look over I finally understand why that is.
The table that it was on was covered in trash. Empty noodle cups, candy wrappers, Pepsi and Mountain Dew cans. And other stuff that could even get a homeless man to gag at the sight of it. They knew that they needed to clean it but they also needed to get the motivation to be able to do that.
They weren't going to deal with that tho, it's not like anyone ever came over to see their pile of garbage they call a room. It's not like anyone cared about their living situation. All they were focused about were themselves. These people they had to live with were filled with greed, if they saw a dime on the floor they would immediately push everyone and everything away to grab it.
But if they weren't going to help them they weren't going to do anything for them in return. They weren't some maid they hired.
As they finally manage to reach the lamp and turn on the light the darkness immediately took cover to get away from the bright sensation. The other disgusting filth of the room was revealed in the process of it. There were multiple bottles lying on the side of their bed. And every single clothing they owned was on the filthy floor somewhere hidden from sight. This place could really be mistaken for dumpster. Ugh
I managed to crawl out of my bed and stand up. Getting off that rotten mattress really takes a-lot of work. I don't really wear nightgowns or night clothes or pjs as some would call them. I just really sleep in what I was wearing for the day. I didn't really have the energy to constantly be changing clothes for some stupid reasons. Like I was not going to switch clothes just cuz I have to go to a cousins house or when it's a special occasion or something like that. I will only dress up for Christmas and not anything else. My Christmas outfit is really just an oversized t-shirt with a skull with a Christmas hat that said some corny Christmas pun.
I didn't switch clothes since I thought the ones that I was already wearing were fine. As i grab my fully charged phone and headphones I open the door to my door only to be met with fresh air. I wasn't really used to fresh air so much. I wasted a lot of my time in my room doing nothing but laying in my bed. The air in the room is so heavy that every time my parental figure (mom) would enter she could barely breathe. I could breathe fine but maybe it's becouse I really don't notice the change in the air over time.
I turned on my phone and see no notification. No one ever texted me anymore, I don't understand why tho. I couldn't be that boring that none of the 8 billion people on the earth wanted to talk to me.
I got ready for school and grabbed my backpack. I hate school. That place filled kids with doubt. Less self confidence than they already had. And worst of all they don't care what happened to you as long as you finish all of your work. I never asked to go to school but my dad signed me up for one just so that I wouldn't be a disgrace to the family.
I didn't really feel like wearing a jacket to school today. The cold couldn't have been that bad that it could harm them. After all winter just started here. I open the front door to my house and leave. I don't even bother to say bye to my parents. The sky was still dark blue as if the world hadn't woke up yet. They were met with snow falling down from the cold sky that they said wouldn't be a threat.
