As the last strains of music faded and the final godly guests bid their farewells, I felt a wave of relief wash over me. The grand hall, once filled with lively chatter and laughter, was now quiet and serene.

Only Thor's immediate family—Odin and Loki—remained. I stretched, letting out a big sigh of exhaustion.

"I'm glad it's finally over." I commented to Thor, my voice a mix of relief and fatigue.

Thor nodded in agreement.

"It was a long day." he said, his tone equally weary.

Captain Ragna stepped into the hall, his presence a reminder of our next steps.

"Your carriage is ready." he informed us. Thor acknowledged him with a nod.

"Let's go." he said to me, his voice gentle yet firm.

I obeyed, walking beside him. As we made our way out of the hall, I noticed Odin and Loki talking quietly in a corner. Despite a flicker of curiosity, I paid no heed and focused on moving forward. The night had been long enough without adding more complications.

Stepping outside, I felt the cool night air against my skin. I turned to the guards standing at attention.

"Thank you for your protection today." I said, my gratitude sincere. The guards remained silent, bowing deeply to both Thor and I.

Yeah, that still feels weird. It's going to take a while to get used to.

I was the first to step inside the ornate carriage, followed closely by Thor. One of the guards closed the doors behind us, and soon the carriage was moving, the rhythmic clatter of hooves a soothing sound after the evening's festivities.

As we traveled through the moonlit paths towards the royal palace of Valaskjalf, my new home, I took a moment to reflect on the day. The grandeur of the ceremony, the intricate dance, the myriad of gods and goddesses—all of it felt like a whirlwind. As the carriage rattled along the moonlit path towards Valaskjalf, my thoughts were a storm of emotions.

I glanced at Thor, who seemed deep in thought. Gathering my courage, I decided to voice the question that had been gnawing at me since the wedding ceremony.

"Thor," I began softly, "Do you think I fulfilled Allfather ultimatum?"

Thor stayed silent for a moment, his gaze distant as he considered his response.

"My father is... complicated." he finally said, his tone guarded. "It's hard to say what he truly wants or expects."

I said nothing, remembering Loki's words of caution. I chewed on my lower lip, lost in thought. After a pause, I decided to change the subject to something that had piqued my curiosity during the evening.

"Can I ask you something else?" I inquired, turning my head to look at Thor. "What is your relationship with Loki like?"

Thor raised an eyebrow at me, a flicker of surprise crossing his features.

"Why do you want to know about Loki all of a sudden?"

"In the legends, Loki is often depicted as your brother," I explained. "but while we were dancing, he revealed to me that you two are actually cousins."

Thor's expression softened with understanding.

"Ah, I see. Yes, Loki and I grew up together. We've been through a lot—missions, adventures, even battles. We've always been close, but," he added with a wry smile, "he can be quite the nuisance sometimes." He sighed, a distant look in his eyes, clearly recalling some exasperating memory.
