Talent

It's an elusive and powerful force, unevenly bestowed, often igniting brightest in those who fully embraced it. For these individuals, talent was more than just an ability-it was a spark that defined them, setting them apart and drawing admiration, envy, and sometimes even fear. To outsiders, talent appeared effortless: like a musician whose fingers danced across piano keys or an athlete who made the most complex feats look second nature. But beneath that dazzling exterior lay countless hours of dedication, late nights, and quiet, unseen sacrifices.

Yet, talent was fickle. It could make a person feel invincible one moment, only to expose their vulnerabilities the next. For some, it became a heavy weight, a constant whisper urging them to achieve more, perform better, remain unmatched. The world, watching with bated breath, demanded greatness, almost as if talent alone could sustain itself without the strain or struggle of honing it.

More than just a gift, talent was a calling-a compass guiding its bearer toward something greater. In any crowded room, the talented naturally stood out, though it was often a lonely light, accompanied by the awareness that few understood the demands of mastery. True talent was a balancing act: part inspiration, part tireless work, and part resilience. For those who carried it, talent wasn't merely what they could do; it was who they had to become.

It was these small flames that made the people that operates Hope's Peak Academy drew them in to under their care. The academy is fortress of prestige, built to cultivate such brilliance. Here, only the elite-known as "Ultimates"-walked its hallowed halls, each with a talent so refined it redefined mastery.

Within the academy's imposing walls, every Ultimate was immersed in spaces meticulously crafted for their craft: a soundproof room for the Ultimate Pianist, a martial arts dojo for the Ultimate Fighter, a cutting-edge lab for the Ultimate Scientist. Hope's Peak held each talent to impossible standards, relentlessly testing and refining their abilities until their skills became as natural as breathing.

The city lay in silent ruin beneath a storm-laden sky, washed in hues of deep grey. Rain hammered down, drenching cracked asphalt and seeping into the crevices of crumbling buildings. Lightning streaked across the sky, casting brief, fierce illuminations over a group of individuals as they moved in cautious silence through the desolate urban maze. These group carried armor and weaponry that are commonly not available to the public given Japan's strict regulations in owning firearms.

A ash-brown haired boy led the group, his footsteps almost soundless despite the waterlogged ground beneath him. His face remained impassive, eyes sharp as they scanned every shadowed corner, every broken window for the faintest hint of movement. The thunder roared above, each rumble like the growl of a waking beast, but Noriyuki's gaze was steely, undeterred by the chaos of nature surrounding them.

His team moved in sync behind him-silent phantoms in dark rain-soaked gear, each poised, every step calculated. The occasional flash of lightning revealed tense faces and focused eyes, and the boy who lead them, though young, held a cold and calculated expression.

After a short while, they finally reached an abandoned room. Its walls were crumbling, with large sections reduced to rubble, and the rebars that once fortified the concrete were now exposed, corroded and vulnerable under the open air. The room's desolation was palpable, echoing a long-forgotten past. The ash-brown-haired boy wandered over to one of the broken windows and peered out. As far as the eye could see stretched a desolate landscape of abandoned buildings, each a hollowed shell that hinted at lives and stories left behind, now silent in ruin.

Suddenly, a faint static buzzed in his earpiece, gradually morphing into a clear voice.

Earpiece: Status report.
