The Kauravas, excluding Duryodhan and his wife Bhanumati who now lived in Indraprastha, and their father had plot to utterly humiliate the Pandavas in front the public by calling for a Kalapradarshan. One in which the Pandavas, would lose. It was schemed for a greater purpose, one unknown to even Dhritharashtr. The death of Arjuna. The plot of Shakuni.
(But we both know that Shakuni is just stupid at this point. No one shall kill the cutie pie, Arjun)
The welcoming of the Pandavas and their family into Hastinapur was done well enough. Flowers, colours and festive lights streamed across the sky. The place definitely did not look like a place in which a plan to commit brutal murder of a warrior was brewing up.
