In the end, Lyly finally got to work, after some scolding.

Lyly did all his work, and he tried to finish all his cleaning assignments that day, but it turned out to be dark. He didn't mind the dark night, but he didn't want Maomao to be worried again.

Sun was setting. It showed a beautiful sight of the orange-red color together.

In Gyokuyou's palace, all of them were inside it. Maomao, Jinshi, Gaushun, and Gyokuyou and her cleaner[I think? I forgot].

Maomao started her speculation by saying "Sombambulance is a very mysterious illness. It's said to be caused by an unbalanced heart. A patient acts as if they're awake even when they're asleep.". Everyone looked at her with seriousness.

Maomao said an example of a woman. She continued with "The courtesan in question had no memory of the night at all.". Jinshi asks "So, what happened?" with Maomao answering with "Nothing. She stopped wandering around, when her offer was rescinded."

"So you mean that the courtesan didn't wantto get bought out?" Concubine Gyokuyou asks, with her baby on her hand. After being quite, Maomao answers "Most likely. The man was a large store owner. He not only had a wife and kids, but even grandchildren. And she only had a year left in her term of service.".

Gyokuyou had slight sad look, with only her eyes looking like it, and said "Maybe it's the same with Concubine Fuyou.". Jinshi sighs, leaning back on the chair, then asks "Is that really all?" with a smirk that Maomao and Lyly thinks is stupid [Lyly finds it attractive, but doesn't admit it].

Maomao looked at him, and said "Yes.". Jinshi, yet again, persuaded if Maomao was really finished, which made her pissed off. From behind Jinshi, Gaoshun nervously waved his hand and thought "Calm down!".

"I'm going back to work." Maomao said, before leaving.

Lyly was finally finished with every assignments he had, and also extra assignments for punishment, which was the lightest punishment he had while being here. Lyly sighs, and stretches himself and mumbles "I want to eat skewred pork.".

And before going to his room, he was met with Jinshi, who was going back to his palace. Lyly cursed himself, and wanted to walk back but was cut off with "Scarred woman.", who Jinshi still called him that even after knowing it.

Lyly stayed quiet there, and his hair was quite a mess. He glances behind to see Jinshi with a fake yet genuine smile that anyone can be fooled by. "What is it that you want, Sir Jinshi." Lyly asks, looking at Jinshi and bowing a bit.

"I'm just curious as to why you're still here? I thought you'd already have gone to sleep." Jinshi walked closer, with Gaoshun behind. "Ah, I had some more things I needed to do. Because I started my works later than the time for work." Lyly said, yawning a bit.

"Well, I'll go first then. Have a good night's rest, Sir Jinshi." Lyly bows, before going. Out purple haired boy looked at the now walking white haired boy, with an unknown admiring. Gaoshun saw that Jinshi was staring at Lyly, before fixing his throat which got Jinshi's attention. "We should go back. It is cold, and you have lots of work to do, Sir Jinshi." Gaoshun said, saying it while bowing slightly.

"Oh right, thanks for reminding me, Gaoshun." Jinshi smiled at Gaoshun, before starting to move, after glancing at Lyly, one last time.

"Why are you here?" Lyly asks, looking at Jinshi, who was smiling at Lyly with no shame or embarrassment on his face. "Why? Can't I be here?" Jinshi asks, while tilting his head.

Lyly looked at Gaoshun, with a glare, when Gaoshun himself had a tired look. Lyly gave Gaoshun an apologetic look, before looking at Jinshi, who was practically shining.

"... Just please don't disturb me." Lyly said, before continuing his work. Jinshi hums understandingly, before walking behind him, which got him a glare. Jinshi stopped walking, his heart beating faster.

Jinshi looked at him with more genuine smile, before mumbling "Worth it." which he got a disgusted look from Gaoshun.

"Sir Jinshi, we need to go. You haven't even finished with work." Gaoshun reminds Jinshi, who flinches when he heard about work, which he didn't want to.
