**Christopher POV**
"Alpha Isaac, we found Elie, the beta daughter; she is living among the humans in Stars Hallow with a family of three," Gamma Luke reported, his voice steady yet laced with urgency.
"What!" I exclaimed, the shock coursing through me like electric currents. "You found her? Where is she? I need to know now!" My wolf roared within me, turning my words into a low growl that reverberated through the building. I could feel the power of our lineage surging, urging me to take action.
"Calm down, Christopher," Alpha Isaac, my father, replied, his expression a mixture of concern and authority. "You will go to her, but you need to remember that she may not recognize you or anything from the past. Her parents sought out a witch to cloak her wolf and erase her memories."
The sharp pain of that revelation hit me like a punch to the gut. My mate, my Elie, was out there, and she didn't even know who I was. It felt surreal. "Tomorrow is her first day at Stars Hallow High," Gamma Luke continued, attempting to keep my focus. "Perhaps you can be admitted to the school and become her friend. It may help jog her memories, and we need to understand why her parents did this."
"Alright, Christopher," Alpha Isaac said with reassurance, "I will speak to the school board and ensure you are enrolled at Stars Hallow High."
Hope surged through me as I nodded decisively. "Okay, Dad, I will bring her home. My mate will come back to us," I whispered to my wolf, who howled in agreement.
**The Next Day…**
I stood just inside the bustling cafeteria, the air thick with laughter and chatter, but my heart raced with singular focus. I didn’t even have to turn around to know Elie was approaching. It was her scent—lavender intertwined with warm cinnamon—that enveloped me, igniting a primal need deep within my soul.
As she stepped into my view, my breath hitched. She wore a stunning long white floral dress that danced around her ankles, paired with a delicate pink sweater that accentuated her figure. Her long, flowing brown hair cascaded down her back, catching the light in a way that made it seem almost ethereal. But it was her lips—the softest shade of pink—that captivated me the most.
Yet, as she drew closer, more vibrant than a dream, I felt a sting of confusion wash over me. Elie's eyes, once filled with the warmth I longed for, were shadowed by fear. Why is my mate afraid of me? My heart sank at the thought.
"Mate, I want my mate," my wolf cried out, his desperation echoing my own.
"I know, I know," I whispered back, squeezing my eyes shut for a moment as I wrestled with the overwhelming emotions. "But remember, she doesn't have her memories. Right now, she thinks she’s just a human, so we have to be patient. We can't rush this."
As I opened my eyes, I noticed her taking tentative steps toward me. Could it be? My mate was actually walking towards me. Every beat of my heart was in sync with her approach, a silent plea that we would find our way back to each other, even if it took time.
