Quinn
I STEPPED FORWARD AND took the microphone Mark offered. "Hello, everyone. I'm sure you all know me already as Lady Quinn Fairchild, Lord Norsewood's wife."
"My lady!" It was Johnny, the elf boy, waving in the middle of the crowd. His brother Zach was, too. Their family, along with their mother Lana, was
the first Valley Elf family I had healed back at the dungeon.
I chuckled and waved in return. To the important matter at hand, I said,"As Lord Mark mentioned, if you wish to stay in Norsewood and become a citizen, we not only build you and your family a nice house, but will also
train you and employ you, too. We'll give you a competitive wage, of
course."
"As farmers and servants, my lady?" a man asked.
I said, "Only if you want either of those fields as your career. Currently,we offer vocational training courses at Norsewood Lodge such as culinary,
cosmetology, agriculture, woodwork, health care, and languages, both
common and divine in the reading and writing form."Naturally, there were astonished gasps all around once again.
"Divine language?" Les asked. "That's the deities language. Only thenobles and elites with blessings can learn it."

An eruption of chatter buzzed noisily in the hall, along with expressionsof shock, confusion, and astonishment.
Klein, close to the front, raised his hand and said, "Can you explain, mylady? It has been passed down for centuries that only those with royalty,
noble, or elite blood are blessed."
I said, "I'm only too glad to shed light on where deities and blessings are concerned. It was only discovered recently that everyone born in Eseron isblessed by at least one deity and has an affinity with at least one type of
magic, not just those with a royal, noble, or elite bloodline."
More chatter ensued, along with confusion and outrageous noises of theapparent lies that had been passed down. A man at the back raised his hand
and said, "If we are all blessed and have affinity with magic, then why can't
any of us commoners use it?"
"It's simple," I said. "Because your mana has not been awakened."
Mark said loudly, "The nobles with blessings are usually trained at ayoung age using a secret technique in their family to increase and awaken
their mana."
Most heads nodded. One said, "That is correct. I saw the young lord at my
