CHAPTER 2: Moving

One month later.

"Cal. Caleb!" Mila shouted impatiently. "Stop playing that dumb game and start being real, man." She filed her pink nails again. She was wearing the dress Annie gave her, for her birthday.

Caleb ignored his sister, and continued. He was playing video games with his cousins: Luke, who was 13, and Jamie, who was 7. They sat, edging forwards on the couch of Monica and Chandlers' living room.

Monica stood in the doorway, talking to her brother. "Ross, you know Mila is wearing a Rachel Green dress, right?" she asked, seriously. He glared at her. "Of course. She's always going on about how great Rachel Green is. I wish she knew the truth. About how this 'great' woman hurt me." He looked down.

Huffing, Monica put her head in her hands. "Look, that was 6 years ago. Can't you let it go?" Her eyes suddenly filled with tears. "I miss her, and you hate her." She walked away, towards Phoebe and Joey.

Ross groaned. He hated Rachel. "She cheated on me, for god's sake." he muttered under his breath.

"Mommy!" Gemma shouted. She rushed towards Phoebe, and took her hand. "I can't find Erica and Elena. We're playing hide and seek. Can you help me?" She looked from Phoebe to Mike. "Sorry, Gem, but that's against the rules. Why don't you try upstairs?" Phoebe smiled at her daughter.

Chandler tapped Joey on the shoulder. "So, when's Sarah's due date?" He grinned. "I can't remember. But, I know we're both excited for the baby to come." Joey scratched his head, and smiled. "Hey, so, how does it work? The age-apocalypse happened... no one's supposed to age..." Chandler looked puzzled.

"Chandler! Where's Erica?" Monica called. Chandler shrugged. Phoebe walked over. "Oh, she's playing hide and seek with El and Gem." she said.

"DADDY!" A sudden scream came from the living room.

The adults hurried into the room. Mila was pointing at her phone. "OH MY GOD! AHHH! RACHEL GREEN IS OPENING STORES IN NEW YORK!" she shrieked. "I think I'm gonna faint." She flopped back into the armchair.

The six adults looked shocked. "Rachel? Rachel Green?" Phoebe asked, excitedly. "YES! Can you believe it? OMG, what if she decides to come here to run the store herself?" Mila squealed.

Monica hugged Chandler, crying. "Chandler, did you hear that? Rachel might be coming!" she sobbed, smiling through her tears. Joey looked happy too. Mike

wrapped an arm around Phoebe, looking ecstatic as well. Ross was stone faced.

"Aunt Monica, are you also a fan of RG?" Mila's face lit up. Monica nodded. "Yeah, I am. A big fan, actually."

Ross was still expressionless. "Daddy, are you okay?" Mila looked baffled.

"We're moving to New York." Rachel told the kids. Tiana dropped her phone, and she fiddled with her hair, nervously. "Whoa, good one, mom." She laughed, a little edgy. "You are joking, right?" she whimpered. Hazel took her hand, and squeezed it reassuringly.

Their mother shook her head. "No, we're opening stores in New York. Since the company took off, and it's really popular, now we need to open more shops. I need to run one in New York, since that's where all the 'main' stuff happens." She bit her lip, worried about their reaction.

Jake stared at Rachel. "I get it. But it's gonna be hard to say goodbye to my friends." Emma grabbed her mom's hand. "Mommy, what about Katie? She's like my other sister." she whined. Rachel sighed. "I'm so sorry, honey, but there's no other choice."
