CHAPTER 5: School
Yawning, Hazel shifted. "Oh no." She immediately sat up. "Oh... first day of school..." Well, at least it's the first day of the school year for everyone.
Opal soundlessly jumped onto the bed. "Hey, Opal. How'd you sleep?" Hazel patted her on the head, gently. Opal purred, rubbing herself against Hazel's nightdress. "Yeah... sorry, but you're gonna be alone today." She stroked Opal's plush fur. The little cat abruptly stopped purring. She sat, staring at Hazel, looking stubborn.
"Hey, it's not something I can control." Hazel laughed. She knew Opal could understand every word she was saying, but she didn't know how. Opal nestled herself in Hazel's lap, purring.
Mila stretched. "Whoo! First day of school today. Soon it'll be time for the first annual Barbie Angels party of the year." She sighed, happily.
"Barbie Angels?" Hazel snorted, raising an eyebrow. "Like, as in, from the MSA episodes?" She laughed, not taking Mila seriously.
"Yeah, duh. Every year, we have a party once in a while, and we collab with the Dream Team. We invite a bunch of people from school, and we party. We dance, eat snacks, and play games. Then, after everyone else is gone, the Barbie Angels watch MSA together, while the Dream Team go and hang out." Mila said all this very fast, and looked excited. "Sometimes the party is here, sometimes it's at one of the other Barbie Angel's houses, or one of the Dream Team's houses. It doesn't matter, since we all have rich families, so we have enough space anyplace."
Hazel shook her head. "I'm not even gonna ask. You know I'm an introvert, right? I'm not good at socialising. Or talking to new people." She fixed her gaze on Opal, who was asleep in her lap.
"Well, too bad, you're gonna have to change that. You and Tiana are joining the Barbie Angels, girl." Mila clapped her hands, enthusiastic. "Besides, I'm the leader. I pick. I formed this group back when I was 11. It started with me and Annie. The next year, Lena and Iris joined. When I feel someone is qualified, I add them."
"How do you know they even want to-"
"Join?" Mila scoffed. "Honey, everyone wants to be a part of the Barbie Angels. We are the talk of the school."
Hazel rolled her eyes. "Wow... so you're queen bee. Great." She sighed, and Mila stuck out her tongue.
Tiana sat up, tiredly. "Guys... I want to be a Barbie Angel. Yes, I heard your conversation. I was pretending to be asleep." She grinned, rubbing her eyes.
"Yay! School!" Emma jumped up, and did a cartwheel. "I want to make lots of new friends."
"Vision, what's the time?" Hazel called, leaning back on the headrest. "It's currently 6:30 am, Hazel. You have half an hour until you need to meet your parents downstairs." Vision told her.
Mila looked determined. "Girls, here are the ground rules." She got up, and stood in front of her sisters, who were gathered on the furry, blue rug at the foot of Hazel's bed.
"Firstly, daddy got us all new school stuff. It's downstairs. Secondly, there isn't a uniform, so every day we wear what we want. Thirdly, we're allowed phones in school, and iPads for art. Or if you want to have fun at break time." Mila looked at her sisters. "Oh, wait, Em, you don't need that." she corrected. Emma nodded.

Hazel decided she was going to clean up first. "Okay, guys, I'm gonna go to the bathroom, and then get dressed." She stood up, and stretched. "Vision, dressing room, please."
The wall slid open, and she entered. It closed up, and Hazel had complete privacy. She entered the room that had the glowing sign 'bathroom' on it.
Grabbing the toothpaste, and applying it onto her electric toothbrush, Hazel began to brush her teeth.
