The morning sun streamed through the leafy canopy above, casting dappled patterns of light across the forest floor. Cale, feeling much better after a good night's rest, joined the rest of the group for breakfast, his appetite finally returning. Raon, as usual, was buzzing around, excitedly discussing the day's plans.
"Alright, everyone! We're going to find the God of Mischief's hidden artifacts!" Raon announced, his tiny fists pumping the air triumphantly. "I can feel it! Adventure awaits us!"
"Just try not to get too carried away this time," Cale said with a smirk, recalling their previous escapades. "We don't want a repeat of last week's near-explosion."
"Hey, that wasn't my fault! The plants were just... overly friendly!" Raon retorted, puffing out his chest indignantly.
Choi Han chuckled, shaking his head. "Sure, let's go with that. Just remember to keep an eye on your surroundings."
As the group finished their breakfast, Rosalyn and Mary gathered some maps and scrolls, their eyes sparkling with excitement and curiosity. "Cale, we might have found something interesting regarding the curse," Rosalyn said, her tone suddenly serious.
"Oh? What did you find?" Cale leaned in, intrigued.
"We did some research, and it turns out the God of Mischief might have hidden artifacts throughout the island," Mary explained, her voice brimming with enthusiasm. "These artifacts could be key to breaking your curse! If we can find them, we might learn more about how to reverse it."
"Hidden artifacts? Sounds like a treasure hunt," Cale said, his interest piqued. "But... what kind of artifacts are we talking about?"
Rosalyn shrugged, flipping through the scrolls. "It's unclear, but legends speak of items infused with magical properties. Some may even grant wishes—or, at the very least, contain vital information about the gods."
"Wishes? Now you have my attention!" Raon exclaimed, his eyes widening with wonder. "Can I wish for unlimited snacks?"
"Only if you promise to share," Cale replied, rolling his eyes. "But seriously, do you have any leads on where these artifacts might be?"
Mary pointed to a section on the map. "According to these texts, there are areas deeper in the forest where the presence of the God of Mischief is strongest. That's likely where the artifacts are hidden."
"Great! Then let's get moving!" Choi Han said, his enthusiasm infectious. "But we should proceed with caution. Who knows what kind of dangers lurk in those woods?"
"Agreed," Cale nodded, glancing toward the dense foliage surrounding them. "Let's stick together and keep an eye out for any strange occurrences."
As they gathered their supplies and prepared to venture further into the forest, Cale couldn't shake the feeling of unease that settled in the pit of his stomach. The air was thick with tension, and an otherworldly whisper seemed to flutter just out of earshot, beckoning them deeper into the trees.
"Is everyone ready?" Cale asked, trying to sound more confident than he felt.
"Absolutely! Let's go find those artifacts!" Raon declared, already bouncing on his heels.
With a final check of their gear, the group set off, Cale leading the way. The forest closed in around them, the lush green canopy filtering the sunlight and creating an almost surreal atmosphere. The sounds of chirping birds and rustling leaves echoed in the background, providing a comforting melody as they journeyed forth.
As they walked, Rosalyn and Mary led the conversation about the possible artifacts, their animated chatter filling the air. "Imagine if we find something that reveals the God of Mischief's plans!" Mary said, her voice filled with excitement. "We could outsmart him!"
