Glitch was sitting down cross-legged as he watched Ben and Max. Given the power of the watch, Max had constructed a target practice in the desert for Ben and the aliens to train on. Most of the aliens had already gone, getting decent scores. Gray Matter couldn't do much, and Ghostfreak didn't bother, but other than that, the training was going well. Now it was Ben's turn.
"You ready?" Max asked.
"Oh yeah!" Ben answered, turning into Diamondhead.
"Remember to think out there, Ben. Don't just try to muscle it. Might isn't always right!" Max instructed.
"I know, but it's always fun!" Ben remarked with a grin, obviously not taking Max's instructions seriously. Glitch sighed slightly, shaking his head as Ben turned his hand into a spiked stump.
Sighing slightly, Max pulled the lever, sending six cans flying. Ben spun around, firing six crystals, managing to hit each of the cans. Max then quickly made the target boards lower behind Diamondhead, and he spun around to shoot them, before shooting a couple more cans behind him and a cactus with a target attached to it. Grinning slightly, he somersaults, hitting some of the targets Max had pulled up. Turning the spikes back into his head, he blew on his finger, evidently trying to emulate having shot from a gun like in the movies.
"Show-off.." Gwen complained.
"Focus, Ben! Think!" Max scolded.
"Don't worry, Grandpa." Ben scoffed. Some more cans came towards him, dodging them and shooting them behind the back, yet not noticing how a tyre was swinging towards him. It hits Ben in the face, knocking him back and causing crystals to shoot elsewhere. Max ducked to take cover while Gwen jumped under the table, and Glitch had to clamber under his chair. After a few seconds, Gwen crawled out from under the table, only for the sunscreen bottle to leak on top of her head.
"Urrgh!" Gwen groaned.
"Oops, my bad!" Ben apologised, laughing slightly.

Back at the Rustbucket, while they were all driving away, Gwen was still glaring at Ben, clearly upset at him for almost hitting her with Diamondhead's attack.
"You rock-head, you almost turned me and Glitch into Swiss cheese!" Gwen snapped.
"I said I was sorry. What else do you want?" Ben asked, huffing.
"You could have seriously hurt Glitch and Gwen." Diamondhead pointed out, staring at Ben with an annoyed look, "You need to be more careful."
"What we want is for you to take that thing on your wrist more seriously, Ben. It's not a toy. You've got to think when you use it." Max huffed.
"I know, but coooome on! You guys have seen me in action. I'm the baddest Ben in town! I've kicked so much alien butt, my feet hurt!" Ben scoffed, putting his feet up on the table.
"Actually, the only alien you've fought is the Limax." Glitch remarked, rolling his eyes.
"Yeah, well one of these days, you're gonna screw around and get your own butt kicked, and I hope I'm there to see it!" Gwen snapped, pushing Ben's feet off the table.
"Dream on, geek-face!" Ben laughed.
Suddenly, the Rustbucket started sputtering and slowing down on the road, before eventually breaking down completely. Glitch groaned in annoyance.
"Uh-oh, that doesn't sound good," Max said.
When they got out, they found themselves in an empty-looking town. It was strangely deserted and seemed to have been for a long time.
