"Hermione you never finished what you were saying earlier." Harry commented to Hermione as they sat in Ron's dorm. Hermione looks up from the book she was reading.

"Oh right. About y/n?"

"Yes? Do you think I want to know about that useless story of the beetle and the bard you were talking about?" Harry says with an eyebrow raised. He leans back against the headboard of the bed.

"Ok...well," Hermione starts "Merlin tried everything, but was unable to save his child. So he went to the only possible solution. He invented a spell that made her live." Harry sits upright.

"He bought her back from the dead? Is that possible? How did he do it? Can we do it again? How did I never know about this?!"

"Harry!" Hermione interrupted "He didn't bring her back from the dead."

"Then how the bloody hell did he make her live?" Ron adds to the conversation. Hermione pauses. She didn't know. Only y/n knew.

"The rest of the story....I...I don't know it.... I don't know how she lived..." she looked devastated, how could Hermione not know something like this? "It's rumored that she kept a diary...but no one knows where it is..." Hermione seemed lost in thought. She checked the clock and quickly got up.

"Books. I need books. I'll be back guys" Hermione rushes to the door.

"Hermione! You only have 10 minutes before curfew." Ron called out.

"I know! I'll be quick!" Hermione called back.

"Lorenzo? Where the hell are you?" Pansy calls through the Slytherin common room. She runs through rooms, opening doors and searching closets.

"He's in the library." Draco says as he plays wizards chess with Theo, beating him as an athlete would do in a race against a dead man.

"Why is he in the library?" Pansy mutters. She claps her hands infront of the boys playing chess. "Boys! Y/n is on her way to the common room. What if Lorenzo runs into her on the way back from the library?"

Theo raises an eyebrow. "What is he runs into her? No biggie." Pansy rolls her eyes.

"He'll be alone, with her. Enzo doesn't know y/n. We didn't tell him why he needs to stay away!" Pansy exclaims. "Ok, I'm going to the library. You boys might wanna go to your dorms before she gets here."

Before Draco or Theo could respond, Pansy had ran out the common room and was racing down the corridors to the library.

"There's nothing interesting here..." Lorenzo mutters to himself as he runs his fingers along the second row of books on the shelf.

He'd been through all the classics, none of them taking his fancy. Hogwarts was not that well known for it's muggle books, which were sometimes significantly more engaging than other books.

Lorenzo was failing history of magic class. Professor Binns had set him an extra task, all Lorenzo needed to do, was read a history book and hand in a full presentation on the topic. Simple? The only thing was, history was boring. Lorenzo didn't care about past diseases, people who invented boring things he needed to learn about, like maths. Finding a decent book was hard enoug-

"The library is closing soon, so please start leaving, students." Mrs Pince announced.  A loud group of Hufflepuffs left the library, along with most other students. Soon it was only Lorenzo and one or two other people left.

Footsteps enter the library as Lorenzo picks up a random book off the bottom shelf. Stuffing it in his pocket so rumors didn't spread about him being a book worm, Lorenzo quickly left the library.

"Mrs, is there a biography isle in the restricted section?" Hermione asked, panting to catch her breath from running all the way from the Faculty Tower to the East Lower Floor.

"Miss Granger, the restricted section has been locked, are you sure you can't come back tomorrow?" Mrs Pince asked from behind her desk. She was sorting through some paperwork which was neatly stacked in the corner.

"Please Mrs, I just need one book, at least let me check if you have it?" Hermione tried again, desperately trying to enter the restricted section, where she was sure she would find books about Merlin.

"Miss Granger, does this have anything to do with the new student who joined today?" Mrs Pince enquired. Hermione opened her mouth to retort but Mrs Pince beat her to it.

"I wish I could help you, but Dumbledore has restricted all books that give any information about the girl. Now please, you have 5 minutes until curfew, good day to you." Mrs Pince's tone of voice was final, leaving no room for argument. Turning on her heels, Hermione left the library, making her way back to the Gryffindor common room.

As she made her way across the East wing corridor, she felt eyes drawn to her. Trying her best not to falter while walking, Hermione kept walking, knowing someone was following her. Suddenly, she felt an empty presence behind her and turned around. No one was there.

"Going somewhere?" a voice said from behind her. Turning around again, Hermione came face to face with another girl her age, with a fair face and rosy cheeks.

"Y/n" Hermione breathed, neither a question nor statement.

"Oh please, you're gawking at me like I have an undertone 6 shades darker than my skin colour." y/n said coolly. Her whole attire and posture showed a small girl, the type that wore their boyfriends oversized hoodies with the sleeves past their hands, but she asserted dominance, despite leaning against the wall with crossed arms.

"Oh...no...I wasn't! You have lovely skin...great skin..!" Hermione said hurriedly. Y/n scoffed lightly and rolled her eyes, pushing herself off the wall and walking up to Hermione.

"You know, you could be like really hot" Y/n said with a smile/smirk, flashing her white teeth.

"I...could?" Hermione said uncertainly.

"Yeah. Look" y/n placed her arm over Hermione's shoulder, ignoring Hermione tensing up, and wordlessly placed a mirror in her hand (conjuring it with magic). "You have a symmetrical face. If I took a meat clever down the center of your skull, I'd have matching halves. That's very important.

Hermione traced a finger along her jaw, thinking deeply about what y/n had just said.

Stepping back and eyeing Hermione up and down, y/n vanished the mirror and crossed her arms, with her chin resting on her fist. "Of course you could stand to loose a few pounds"

"Y/n" Professor McGonagall appeared at the end of the corridor, stopping and sighing, before she walked down the hall to the girls. "Come with me, the Slytherin common room awaits you" Acknowledging Hermione, McGonagall says, "You should get back to your dorm, you're out past curfew"

Hermione nods and excuses herself. Continuing her walk back to her dorm. Y/n wasn't too bad, maybe four years in Azkaban really changed her.
