Chen liu had long since let go of the thought of receiving love from anyone , all he had sought was that they leave him alone and him to live peacefully without any problems in his secret place but alas his mother loves to torment him .
She would find him no matter where he is and admonish him for his habit of running away and hiding in discreet places usually surrounded by bushes .
She is on a normal day uncaring towards the habits and quirks of her son but when she is frustrated or seething at the world she criticises every move of her son . Even the way he breathes made her feel irritated.
These were the exact reason why Chen liu was a child with no emotions to speak of with no sense of comfort to be had and didn't have any love for himself or for others. Due to the mistakes of his parents he was left alone and didn't have any place to go so that child wasn't normal . he isn't like any other damaged male protagonist we see. he was real and was broken but didn't even realise he was broken . In his heart he knew something was wrong with him when he saw other people diligently practise martial arts and study enthusiastically in class while he was zoned out of the world but that didn't make him feel anything. He was as indifferent to himself and the world as his father was to his existence .In short to say he didn't care about anything except solitude is the right statement .
This solid earth was too much for the child to bear so he left it and would never be able to come back to it due to who his mother and father were . He was alone in this world and always will be 'unless his life was a fantasy dream of a child who like him hadn't ever been loved and liked to look upon the glorious life of other people.'
