Formation of Bonds!

Despite the warnings of Professor Birch's scientist Melody hurried over to the forest of Route 101 near Littleroot Town.

The deeper he went, the louder the sounds of angry pokemon sounded. He paused when he reached his destination. Professor Birch was being attacked by a Pokemon known as Zigzagoon.

Professor Birch glanced at Melody and waved directly at him "H.....Help me" He stuttered in a quiet whisper. Melody froze, not knowing what he could do against a Pokemon. Birch then eyed a bag right next to Melody's position. It was a brown bag that contained 3 Pokeballs.

Acting on instinct Melody picked up one of the Pokeballs and threw it. A bright flashed emulated from the ball with a beam that transformed into a Pokemon.
"Treecko" it said.

The Zigzagoon growled at newly appeared Pokemon. Treecko, confused looked at Melody as if it was waiting for him. Puzzled, Melody didn't know what to do. It was his first Pokemon battle and it came so fast he was unprepared with the partner he was matched up with.

"Use one of his attacks!" Professor Birch called out. Melody hesitated again. "Um, use Pound!" He commanded. Treecko nodded.

Treecko used Pound on Melody!

"N....Not on me....the other one" he struggled to say. Treecko realizing his mistake turned towards an already attacking Zigzagoon.

Zigzagoon used Tackle on Treecko!

Treecko was sent into Melody knocking them both down, "Treecko" it struggled to say. "Let's try to start over" Melody said. Treecko nodded. "I'm not the best trainer yet but I have to save Professor Birch from this wild Pokemon." He thought. "Judging by the looks of it, Treecko is a grass type. Meaning it might kno-" His train of thought was cut off by the Zigzagoon aiming for another attack.

"Treecko! Use Pound on the Zigzagoon!" Melody commanded.

The wild Pokemon was sent towards a nearby tree. The moment it recovered Treecko had already gained moment in the battle by jumping in the air.

"Treecko finish it off with one more Pound!" Melody said.

Zigzagoon, in defeat ran away from the area. Treecko and Melody celebrated as they were victorious in their battle. "We won our first battle! We won our first battle!" Melody had shouted repeatedly. Professor Birch quieted down the celebration, "As much as impressive it was to see you both become victorious in the rescue. We should head back before that wild Zigzagoon comes back with reinforcements." He explained.

Melody and Treeko ceased the commotion and nodded.
