Episode 1: "Beginnings"

We all have dreams that we want to achieve someday. Be it an author, screenwriter, teacher, or even a director. But sometimes, we can't always get what we want in life.

My name is Marinette Dupain-Cheng and I'm a fashion designer, at least not officially yet. But you see, I want to be the world's best designer someday. But that's not what I want to tell you.

You see, In the daytime, I'm just Marinette. Just a normal girl with a normal life. Well, at least that everyone thinks. I'm actually a superhero called Ladybug. And before you ask, no, I was not bitten by a radioactive ladybug. Who do I look like to you, Peter Parker?

I actually get my powers from magical jewelry called the Miraculous. And to help me through my superhero life, my kwami, Tikki helps through anything I need. Either giving life advice or helping me become a better superhero, Tikki is always there for me.

How long have I been a superhero? Uh... I only just started my superhero a couple days ago. But anyways, the reason I was gifted with a Miraculous is to help a supervillain named Hawk Moth, who has begun using the Butterfly Miraculous to akumatize innocent people into villains.

The first person to be a victim to Hawk Moth was a classmate of mine named Ivan. They manipulated him into thinking that revenge was the only way to get back at Kim, who was making fun of him for being in love with a girl named Mylene.

Luckily I was able to save Ivan, but I couldn't do it alone. Apparently another person was given the Cat Miraculous and became Cat Noir. Now, do I know his identity? No, because that's the rule of becoming a superhero. We can't share our real lives to each other when fighting evil.

But the very best part of this is Adrien. He is the son of Gabriel Agreste, a famous fashion designer who is my idol. Adrien is super sweet and kind and will always look for good in people, plus he is super cute. You can't tell him I said that, okay?!.

Now, why am I telling you all of this? Well, let's start back on the very same rainy day when I began having a crush on Adrien...

Marinette collapsed on her pink chaise longue and sighed in relief. It was a long day at school, not to mention saving Paris for a second time. And now the day was over and it was raining hard.

"I am beat, Tikki." Said Marinette as she sat up. "I still can't believe that Adrien gave me his..." She looked at the umbrella. She squealed. "Ah! Tikki, what's this feeling I'm having?"

"It's called love, Marinette." Said the kwami flying out of the hand bag.

"But why? I only met Adrien a few hours ago." Marinette said, putting her hands up to her head. She then gasped. "And I was rude to him earlier. Oh, how can I fall in love with someone that I was so rude to, Tikki?"

The kwami flew up next to Marinette. "Don't worry about it. Adrien probably knows that you didn't mean to be rude." She said. "After all, he did say that he was trying to take the gum off your seat."
