Harry and Emerson walked out of class together, Niall a few steps behind them on the phone (raving about his party, of course).
"You're horrible!" Emerson whined playfully, shoving her books into her backpack.
Harry smiles. "I didn't do anything."
"You totally distracted me throughout the entire lecture!" Emerson exclaimed, standing with him. "I didn't even get all the notes."
Harry couldn't describe the airy feeling his entire body felt when she pouted, but he loved it. "Just get them from Niall. Tonight. At the party."
Emerson playfully scoffed. "As if Niall has the notes," she looked at Niall who smiled at her. "He was also bothering me all period." She said towards him.
"How come I've never seen you around?" Harry asked.
"Maybe because there's like a million kids in our university. Or maybe I'm just not memorable." she jokes and Harry smirked back.
Emerson looks sweet, but get passed that and you, like Harry, will notice her addicting eyes and wicked smile. "Oh no, you're definitely-" Harry began speaking before Niall cut him off.
"Emerson if you're not at my party then me and Harry will spend the entire night scavenging London for you." Niall declared, making her smile.
"Maybe. But if, and only if, I do come, I'm bringing a friend," she negotiated.
Emerson wasn't thinking about work, work, work for once, she was just being normal. She momentarily wondered what her dad would think, but pushed the thoughts out of her head and smiled at the two very normal guys in front of her.
"Done, bring anyone you like," Niall said. "Here give me your number and I'll text you our address. Be there by like eight, eight-thirty."
As she handed him her phone she looked at Harry. She wondered how he could have such a gorgeous tan in the winter. "You two live together?"
Harry nodded while Niall handed her back her phone. "Yup, we're celebrating our one year anniversary tonight." Niall said.
Harry rolled his eyes. "Dude, didn't I tell you to stop telling people that? It makes us sound like we're... Together."
Niall just laughed, as usual. "Who said we're not together? Are you trying to tell me something, baby?"
Harry rolled his eyes but Emerson could see the amusement in his (lovely) green eyes. "Shut up. Anyways, Emerson, we should see you tonight?"
"Maybe."

Emerson was greeted by an empty apartment when she got home. She was wondering where her family was right when she heard someone behind her.
She turned to see her younger brother, Evan. "Hey, where's Dad?" She asked.
Evan shrugged, walking passed her to the kitchen (their home was very small). "I think he went to the bank or something, why?"
She shook her head. "Nothing. Anyways, what's up?"
Evan was sixteen going through what could only be called a phase. He seemed to hate the world, just barely tolerating Emerson (it should flatter her, but it also made her feel worried for him).
"Nothing," he mumbled through a mouth of chips.
"Where's Ezra? And Eliza?" She asked, referring to the rest of their siblings. The house was oddly quiet today.
