Pokemon Grey's Big Adventure (Fanfiction)

A Tough Decision

                  "One day I want to become a Pokemon master." That is what I said when I was a little boy. Now I am all grown up and ready to begin my journey and off I was to get my first starter Pokemon. Where I live is New Bark Town, a small town where I was raised by my mom. I was on my way to the Professor Elm he was on T.V. were he inspired me to go on my journey and today it starts.

                    On my way to see the professor I saw many Pokemon around me that were wild but some of them belonged to trainers. When I reached the building that was at least two stories high and it a sign that said Professor Elm's Laboratory. When I was about to enter the lab a girl rushed out of the door and slammed into my body and we both fell on the hard ground. 

As I was getting up the girl said "I am very sorry did I hurt you?" 

The girl helped me up on my feet then I said I was fine then she introduced herself,

"Hi my name is Ana and this is my partner Vulpix. Who are you?"

"I am Grey nice to meet you."

I stood there like a complete fool just staring at the girl and her partner. Then I finally asked her a question.

"Is that your starter Pokemon? It looks so cool! I think the Pokemon matches your hair color."

I noticed that Ana nodded and she started to blush. She looked like she was in a hurry so I asked,

"Why were you in such a hurry?"

 Ana's hand went up to her mouth. "OH NO! I'M GOING TO MISS THE POKEMON SHOW! COME ON VULPIX!"

 She started to run of in the opposite direction with her Vulpix. I just stood there confused as I stared at her until I could no longer see her. I just shook my head and forgot about it. I went inside the lab. As I entered the lab I saw the professor standing there talking to a boy wearing a black and golden hat and I heard the professor say his name. When the professor saw me standing there he introduced the boy to me.

"Hello there boy what is your name?"

"My name is Grey and I came here to pick my starter Pokemon."

"Ah, you mean these three."

The professor took all three Pokemon out of there pokeballs One looked like a fire type another looked like a grass type and the last one was a water type. Before I chose my starter the professor gave me a weird looking device. The professor said it was a pokedex and I pointed it at the fire type Pokemon.

A robotic voice began to speak, "Cydanquil  It is timid, and always curls itself up in a ball. If attacked, it flares up its back for protection." Then I pointed the pokedex at the grass type Pokemon.

"Chikorita A sweet aroma gently wafts from the leaf on its head. It is docile and loves to soak up sunrays."Then the last one was the water type Pokemon.

"Totodile Its well-developed jaws are capable of crushing anything. Even its Trainer must be careful.

"Hmmmm......... this is a tough decision."

"UGH! Hurry up little boy you take forever!"

The boy wearing the golden and black cap seemed to be impatient so I finally chose the fire type Cyndaquil. The professor gave me his pokeball and I decided to name it Egan and I thanked the professor but the boy in the golden and black hat just shoved me and he chose his starter.

"Hmmmmm...... Fine I choose Totodile since he is a water type. I will beat you. Ha! You don't stand a chance against me new boy." 

I really did not care what he said so I thanked the professor. Before I left the professor gave me 5 pokeballs.
