{{[N O R R I S' POV]}} L. Norris x O. Piastri
The Melbourne Grand Prix was always a special race for Oscar. It was his home race, and the energy around the circuit was electrifying. The excitement of the fans, the smell of burning rubber, and the roar of engines created an atmosphere like no other. This year, it felt even more special with Oscar by my side, not just as a fellow driver but as someone I deeply cared about. As we walked through the paddock, the Australian fans cheered louder than ever, their support for Oscar evident. I couldn't help but feel a surge of pride for him. It was moments like these that reminded me why I loved racing and why I cherished our time together. "Ready for another crazy race in front of your home crowd, Os?" I asked, my eyes sparkling with enthusiasm.
"Always," he replied with a grin. "Let's make it a memorable one." We made our way to our respective garages, the anticipation building with every step. I could see the other drivers preparing, their focus intense. Charles Leclerc was among them, still sporting the signs of his recent injuries. The sight reminded me of the physical and emotional toll this sport could take. "Hey, Charles," I said, approaching him. "How's everything holding up?"
Charles managed a small smile. "Getting better. Just need to focus on the race now."
"Good to hear," I replied, giving him a supportive nod. "Take care out there."
As I suited up and got ready for the race, my thoughts kept drifting to Oscar. We had shared some incredible moments on and off the track, and today, I was determined to add another one to our memories. The race itself was intense. The narrow streets and sharp corners of the Melbourne circuit demanded every ounce of concentration and skill. I pushed the car to its limits, feeling the thrill of each turn and straightaway. But no matter how focused I was on the race, there was always a part of me that was aware of Oscar's presence, his support giving me an extra boost of determination. After the race, the adrenaline was still coursing through my veins as I made my way back to the garage. Oscar was already there, his eyes lighting up when he saw me. "You did great out there, Lands," he said, pulling me into a tight hug. "Proud of you."
"Thanks, Oscar," I replied, feeling a rush of warmth at his words. "Couldn't have done it without you."
The camaraderie among the drivers was always a special part of race weekends, and today was no different. We celebrated our efforts and shared a few laughs, the bonds of friendship and competition intertwining. As the evening wore on, Oscar and I found a quiet moment to ourselves. The paddock was winding down, the energy of the day giving way to a peaceful calm. "Let's get out of here," I said, taking his hand. "I know a place where we can relax."
We made our way to a secluded spot, away from the hustle and bustle of the paddock. The night was cool, the stars twinkling above us as we sat together, enjoying the serenity of the moment. "Melbourne's always been one of my favorites," I said, my voice soft. "But it's even better with you here."
Oscar smiled, his eyes reflecting the same sentiment. "Couldn't agree more."
We sat in comfortable silence for a while, the bond between us growing stronger with each passing moment. It was moments like these that made all the challenges worth it, the connection we shared a source of strength and joy. I turned to Oscar, my heart swelling with affection. "You know, I don't say this enough, but I'm really glad we have each other."
He looked at me, his eyes filled with warmth. "Me too, Lando. Me too."
I took Oscar to my hotel room but before we kissed, I took my shirt off as we were alone in my hotel room.
Without thinking, I leaned in and pressed my lips to his, the kiss gentle but filled with emotion. It was a moment of pure connection, a reminder of the love and support we shared.
As we pulled away, Oscar smiled, his eyes shining. "That was nice."
I grinned, feeling a sense of peace wash over me. "Yeah, it was."
The road ahead was filled with uncertainties, but with Oscar by my side, I knew I could face whatever came our way. The Melbourne Grand Prix had been a thrilling chapter in our journey, and I was excited to see what the future held for us.
As the night drew to a close, we made our way back to the hotel, the memories of the day etched into our hearts. The game had changed, but we were ready to face it together, our love and determination guiding us forward.
