Valentine's Day
Y/n pov
"Perfect perfect perfect, this has to be perfect." I say scribbling down on the card. Draco and I have been dating for almost three years now. Today I want to show him how much I love him.
I add the last finishing touches to the card and put it in the bag. I grab my purse and head out. Draco and I finished our hogwarts career last year, this year we don't have to go to school. Today's going to be special.
When I began to walk to the park, it was cold and I realized that I forgot to grab a jacket. After a few minutes, I arrived at the park. This was his idea, he's not soft but with me he is. I am a Hufflepuff- or well was. He always thought I was sensitive.
I walk in the park and see him, " Draco!" I called out for him walking towards him.
" Y/n!" Draco calls back setting down his present.
"Come on I told you not to get anything!"
" I mean it's not like you told me directly."
" Oh come on, you asked what I wanted and I said nothing. Isn't that direct enough?"
"Y/n you know I can't just not get you anything!"
"Yeah yeah whatever. Now open what I got you!"
"Ok, ok. But you have to open yours next." He says as I hand him the present. He sits down and hands me mine. He opens the card first and scans it. I covered it in a bunch of tiny love letters, telling him everything I love about him.
He smiles softly seeing everything I wrote for him. He looks up at me and I gesture for him to open it up more. He opens the rest of it and it's a new record player.
Draco doesn't seem like he likes music but when you get to know him he does. It's funny that Draco and I got together. He's not expressive at all but I am.
"Woah." He says looking at the record player " Y/n, I love it!"
"Yay! I was a little worried." I say smiling
"Now open yours, I hope you like it."
I opened up my present, he didn't make me a card but it's draco. What do you expect?
Its my f/c blanket and a new journal with a brown, rough cover. I've seen this in a book store for a lot of money, it's hand woven.
"Draco, how did you know I was eying this?" I ask him, curious.
" Just a hunch." He responds
" Here let me get that" I grab my backpack and put the things inside of it so we don't have to carry it on our walk. " Well let's go!" I smile grabbing his hand.
We begin to walk on the trail, draco finally notices that I don't have a jacket. I've been cold this whole time, but honestly I'm completely fine with being cold if it means I can see draco.
"Hey princess, do you want my jacket?" He asks me, letting go of my hands, taking it off, and offering it to me.
"You sure? I don't want you getting cold." I respond
"Just take it." He says demandingly.
I grab the jacket and put it on, it's almost an instant release. It smells like green apples, his favorite food. After a lap around the park I'm completely warmed up.
"So, how do you feel about watching a movie at mine? I have a perfect movie picked out." I say dragging out the 'so'. I rock back and forth on my feet.
"Of course. What movie do you have picked out?"
I grin at him "only the best movie ever"
He immediately rolls his eyes playfully "are you seriously about to make us watch The Corpse Bride again?"
"Why wouldn't I dear?" I say as we begin to walk to my house.
He grabs my hand again and we walk together there. All throughout the park there are people talking and laughing. Before I met draco the couples would make me jealous. With him, I've never been happier
" You know when we first met I thought you were just an annoying Hufflepuff. I never would've guessed we would be dating." Draco says laughing.
"Well I've always thought you were a cocky Slytherin."
" And?" He says waiting for me to continue.
" I was right." I say
"Wow. I was trying to be nice to you." He says rolling his eyes jokingly.
"But seriously though, you're right. I never thought we'd date either, but I'm glad we are." I say smiling, I can see my house. We're getting close.
"Well then Y/n I guess I could say I'm glad too." He says as we cross the road. Its not busy, cars barely ever cross here.
I squeeze his hand and when we're done crossing the road I look at him and smile. He dressed up for me today, just like I did. He always dresses up for me on special occasions, yet it's still surprising. Who would've thought that Malfoy would be such a little sweetheart.
I open my door and he holds it open for me.
"After you princess"
"Thank you darling." I say giggling.
We walk into the door holding hands. He flops onto the couch. Its funny to me how comfortable he is with me now, he never was comfortable untill the 6th month Mark of us dating. Now it's easy to say he's comfortable.
I sit on the floor while he lays on the couch. My sketchbook is sitting in my hand on the floor.
"You gonna leave any room for me?" I ask him looking at him as I turn onto he movie.
"Hm maybe." He says sitting upright.
I lay on his lap and grab my sketchbook as the movie plays. I slowly start to sketch his face, slowly moving my book from my face from time to time.
The movie plays in the background, draco is sitting there watching the movie while I'm drawing. He won't admit that he loves this movie, yet he watches it every time I put it on.
I finish my sketch and tear it out of my book. I hand it to him and he just smiles looking at it.
"I keep forgetting that you're an artist, you almost never draw for me." He says as he grabs his wallet.
"Well you know I don't like to show my drawings to people."
"Awww are you saying I'm special?" He says looking at me
" Well you are special." I say pulling him down and pecking him on the lips. "Thanks to you, evreythings special now"
"Not as special as my life is with you" draco says
"Hey draco?"
"Yes princess?"
" I never say this enough but, I love you."
A smile crosses his face " I love you too."
