"W-what?" The brunette uttered out in shock as the ginger smiled, "Since it seems like you're having a bit of a rental problem, you can live with me until you settle it."

Dazai raised a suspicious brow. Was he doing it on purpose? Or did he have an ulterior motive?

Well, he might have a problem in finding another place due to the situation's current animosity to him. It didn't seem like Chuuya had any other motives, more like he was offering his genuine help to him out of kindness...or maybe pity.

He had a good eye for superficial nonsense after all.

"Then I'll take you up on the offer. Thank you and I won't be much of a bother."

The other seemed to have a satisfied expression on his face that Dazai found weird. They were total strangers, or maybe acquaintances at most. However, the brunette shurgged that off. During the time he will be living with Chuuya, he'll have to secure a new apartment and move immediately, he wouldn't want to be a bother to the other.

With that in mind, he confidently followed the ginger back into the car, giving his dumbfounded landlord a middle finger and they were off on the road afterwards.

"My place is not that small so we won't bump into each other a lot if that's what you're worried about." Was what the ginger had said but it was clearly an understatement when Dazai finally step foot into the large apartment. No...it wasn't an apartment anymore.

"Other from my room, you can use the rest of the rooms to your desire." Chuuya suppressed a yawn as the brunette said his 'excuse me' before entering, taking his shoes off.

"A-are you really sure this is okay with you?" Dazai asked, still staring in awe at the vast space in front of him.

"Hmm? Yeah, you can make yourself at home until you sort things out. Don't worry about the stuff in your apartment, I'll get my subordinates to get it for you."

Chuuya turned to leave but he made a sound as if he remembered something as he continued, "This building is part of mafia territory so...try not to wander around that much."

The brunette hummed in acknowledgement, finding the closest guest room. He wanted to say his thanks once again but the ginger had disappeared when he poked his head out of the room.

Daza sighed, not wanting to be anymore of a burden so he went back into his room, ensuring he locked the door and started unpacking the small bad of his which consisted of a few set of clothes he had grabbed from his apartment in a haste before leaving with the ginger. Along with his belongings from the previous night.

He groaned in annoyance at forgetting to give the ginger back his coat once again. He'll give it back this time, for sure.

Sighing, he folded the coat neatly, setting it to the side before resuming his unpacking.

It was already late afternoon when Chuuya checked back in with the brunette. He had successfully finished a few reports and had filed them respectively. He didn't see his new guest wandering around the house since his room was positioned in such a way that he could get a view of  mostly the entire house.

Did he fall asleep?

Knocking gently on the door, he was greeted with a 'come in' before he entered the room and found Dazai scrolling through his phone, seemingly engrossed in what he was doing. Finding a place to live, perhaps?

After placing his phone down on the bed, the brunette reached for the neatly folded coat, passing it back to the ginger with an apology for holding onto it for so long.

Oh...he did gave his coat to the brunette. It was nice to see someone actually using it and giving it back to him. He merely smiled and said, "You can keep it."

He was surprised when the other laughed before jokingly saying, "I rather not, you can have it back."

Chuuya seemed to be quite adamant about the other keeping the coat as he then said, "I already got a new one. You can keep it since you seem to like it."

Dazai stifled a scoff at the other's comment as he merely casted a hesitant glance at the ginger and the coat.

"This coat doesn't have our mafia logo and it's quite a common design so you don't have to worry about others recognising the coat."

Oh..he was quite worried about that. He didn't want to be kidnapped in broad daylight due to a comfortable coat.

He merely sighed and relented, placing the coat down with the rest of his clothes. He did take a few seconds to stare at the enbroided chain on the coat, finding it quite mesmerising due to the slight gold tint in it.

He didn't seem to realise the ginger behind him smiling at his actions.
