Dazai had the best sleep last night, on the comfortable bed that was offered in the guest room. He had already checked in with his president who told him to take a week off and to stay out of public's view while he settles the entire situation.
He did wonder how long this situation will go on for, a month? He hoped that it won't persist for a year. He has tried finding a new place to live in but no avail, especially at such short notice. It was the second week of the month and the latest he could rent a place will be the next month.
He'll also have to go through all the trouble to meet the landlord to tour the place and he might not get the apartment due to his infamous reputation.
Glancing at the ginger sitting opposite him, he sighed silently to himself, gaining the attention of the other who hummed in question.
The ginger had kindly invited him to breakfast made by him and the brunette had to admit, it was the best waffle and eggs he's ever eaten. He never had a proper eating routine which was why he was dangerously on the thin side.
"It's nothing. I'm just having trouble finding a place to live."
The ginger seemed to be deep in thought after what he said as he just stared at the other with aa unknown emotion plastered on his face.
"It's okay, you can stay as long as you need. I don't mind the extra company."
Yeah, but he minded. Was what Dazai wanted to say but thankfully kept it to himself as he gave a nervous chuckle at the other's comment. He finished his last bit of waffle, bringing the plate to the sink, contemplating on whether to wash the dishes or not.
Chuuya seemed to have read his thoughts and quickly said, "You don't need to wash the dishes, I can just ask the assistant to wash it later on."
For some unknown reason, that made Dazai feel uneasy to know that another person will be entering the same space as him and he didn't even know who this assistant was.
He swallowed the uneasiness and nodded, thanking the other for breakfast and excusing himself to go to his room.
Chuuya watched with curious eyes before turning back to the work on his phone. He will have to leave for work afterwards, in a few minutes.

Dazai had found comfort in the small space that was his temporary room for now. He had continued his apartment searching but to no avail. He had heard the muffled slam of the door outside so he assumed Chuuya had left already.
After some thought, he reached for the coat hanging on one of the hooks behind the door and leaving his room hesitantly, eyes glancing around the vast space to check that there really was no one.
He wondered if the ginger had any cameras in the house. He bet so, even more the reason not to act anymore suspicious and snoop around. Well, not like he was going to in the first place.
He wore the coat, finding a nostalgic warmth after wearing it. And after patting himself down, he left the 'apartment' with light steps, being greeted by a daunting hallway which was empty. He wandered down the corridor, recalling how the ginger guided him to the apartment at the start.
Chuuya had told him not to wander but he just wanted to explore the area radius of the place he was living in. Thankfully, it seemed that this level the apartment was on was basically deserted since he has not met one person since he stepped foot outside the apartment.
He was soon proved wrong when he heard the ding of the elevator a few meters, not far from where he was standing. He hastily turned to glance at the two men in suits who entered the level.
"Do you think Nakahara-sama is here?" He heard one of them say.
Oh...they were here to find Chuuya...
Without much thinking, he spoke up, "If you're looking for Nakahara-san, he left already."
If he thought about it more thoroughly, he would've thought that speaking up was a stupid idea. The two men whipped their heads around quickly, eyes narrowing at him. They whispered among themselves.
"Is he the new maid?"
"It can't be, Nakahara-sama wouldn't replace...."
The two men then faced him and asked, "Who are you and what's your reason for being here?"
It would be hard to explain he was living with the literal top executive of the mafia so he hesitantly glanced away, thinking up of and excuse as he said, "I'm waiting for Nakahara-san to come back."
Not fully convinced, they approached him, much to Dazai's reluctance.
"Hey, he's wearing one of our coats. Maybe he is waiting for..." The brunette heard the two mutter among themselves, not being able to hear what they say clearly, only catching bits of their sentences.
"But we weren't informed o any newcomers, especially on this level of the building. We should take him in."
It seemed to Dazai that one was more alert than the other as he slowly inched away from the arguing pair. Maybe he should try to go back to the living space. He was sure these two won't dare to enter.
He was unfortunately stopped and his heart started picking up in speed when he heard sound of what he guessed was the chambering of the gun, with it's trigger lock being unlocked.
He let out a shuddering exhale, slowly glancing back at the two men.
"Oi! I don't think we should. How would we explain to the higher ups later."
It dawned upon Dazai that it was a possible fact that these two men weren't authorised to be here so he took the risk and sprinted off. He had no specific plan in his mind right now but he was sure he could make it to his room without being shot to death.
He heard the hesitance behind him as he made a corner. He nearly stopped in his tracks when he heard the first bullet being shot. It was a deafening sound that made instant fear crawl up his spine. He cursed when he heard the thumping footsteps behind him.
It seemed that the two trespassers had decided to gamble their life and chase after him to most likely kill him. He even made the rookie mistake of turning to catch a glimpse of the gun holder pointing the weapon at him.
Reaching for the doorknob right in front of him, it was a life or death situation as he twisted it, right at the same moment another bullet was shot.
