Ranma rolled his eyes at Happosai's provocative behavior. He knew how the old man loved to stir up trouble, and he didn't want this situation to escalate into a fight.

"Knock it off, Happosai," Ranma said firmly. "You're not gonna start a fight over Kagome. Step off."

Happosai pouted petulantly at Ranma's intervention, disappointed that his attempts to rile up Inuyasha had been thwarted.

"Fine, spoilsport," Happosai grumbled. "You're no fun, you know that?"

Sango, observing the interaction between Happosai and Inuyasha, couldn't help but notice the old man's inappropriate behavior. She folded her arms, her expression stern.

"You shouldn't talk about women like that," Sango scolded Happosai. "It's disrespectful."

Inuyasha shot Sango a grateful glance, appreciating her support.

"Yeah, what she said," InuYasha grunted, still keeping his protective stance in front of Kagome.

Kagome, touched by Inuyasha, Ranma and Sango's protectiveness, gave them a warm smile.

"Thank you, three of you," Kagome said gratefully. "But I can handle myself, you know."

Ranma chuckled, a hint of admiration in his expression towards Kagome's confidence.

"I reckon you can," Ranma agreed. "But it doesn't hurt to have a couple of guardian dogs on your side, right?"

Kagome chuckled, giving Ranma a playful nudge.

"And I guess I have three very overprotective ones," Kagome teased, looking Inuyasha, Ranma and Sango.

Ranma raised an eyebrow, playing along with the banter.

"Hey, someone's gotta keep you out of trouble. Otherwise, you'd probably attract every creepy old pervert within a ten-mile radius." Ranma said.

Kagome let out a laugh, amused by Ranma's comment. She glanced over at Happosai, who looked disgruntled.

"Well, looks like I already attracted one," Kagome joked, shooting a playful wink in Happosai's direction.

Inuyasha, still wary of Happosai, couldn't help but chuckle at Kagome's jest. He softened his stance a bit, but still kept a watchful eye on the old pervert.

"Yeah, let's try and keep it at just one," InuYasha said, half-joking.

Inuyasha couldn't help but feel a pang of jealousy as he noticed Ranma and Kagome bantering and exchanging playful jokes. He didn't like seeing her being so friendly with another guy, even if that guy was Ranma.

Meanwhile, Akane was also feeling a mix of jealousy and annoyance. She watched Kagome and Ranma interact, her expression growing more and more sour.

Kagome looked around the group, assessing the mixed feelings among the others. She could sense the tension in the air after Happosai's appearance and the subtle hints of jealousy from both Inuyasha and Akane.

"You know what?" Kagome said, breaking the silence. "Why don't we all sit down by the campfire and try to get to know each other better? It couldn't hurt to try and get along, right?"

Inuyasha considered Kagome's suggestion, his gaze shifting from Kagome to Akane. InuYasha could sense Akane's lingering jealous feelings, even if she tried to hide them.

"Alright, why not," InuYasha grumbled, trying to sound nonchalant. "Beats just standing around here and arguing all night."

Ranma gave Kagome a grateful smile for her efforts to keep the peace. He noticed Inuyasha and Akane's subtle jealously as well, and hoped sitting around the campfire would ease some of the tension.
