***Akane stands up, bidding Ranma farewell for the night.
"Alright then, I'll try to get some sleep. Thanks for talking with me, Ranma. It helped clear my head a bit. Goodnight." Akane smiled.
Ranma watches her go, his gaze lingering on her retreating figure until she disappears into the darkness. He sighs, turning his attention back to the smoldering fire.
"Goodnight, Akane..." Ranma murmurs to himself, lost in thought once more.
Happosai silently observes the scene, a devilish grin spreading across his face "Ohoho, looks like there's another late-night wanderer out here. This could be interesting."
Ranma, still sitting by the smoldering fire, glances up as the new person comes out of the house. He rubs his eyes, realizing that he's not the only one who can't sleep.
Kagome, as the one coming out of the hut, takes a seat at the opposite side of the fire pit from Ranma. She yawned, clearly tired but unable to sleep.
Ranma raises an eyebrow, a small smile playing on his lips as he watches her. "Can't sleep either, huh? Seems like we're not the only ones having trouble tonight."
Kagome lets out a weary chuckle, shaking her head. "Yeah, I've been tossing and turning for a while now. My brain just won't shut off."
Kagome, looking pensive, speaks up. "Hey, Ranma, there's something I've been meaning to mention. You know, your voice sorta sounds like Inuyasha's sometimes. Just thought I'd throw that out there."
Ranma, caught off guard by her observation, furrows his brows in surprise. "What? My voice sounds like Inuyasha's? Seriously? Are you sure you're not just hearing things in the middle of the night?"
Kagome nods, a slight smile on her face.
"Yeah, I know it sounds random, but every once in a while, there's a certain inflection or tone that reminds me of Inuyasha's voice. It's not like you sound exactly like him or anything, but there are moments when I catch a similarity." Kagome said.
Ranma, still trying to process this revelation, scratches the back of his head.
"Huh, that's weird. I've never really thought about it before. I mean, Inuyasha and I have our similarities, but I never thought our voices would be one of them. Do you think it's just a coincidence, or is there something else to it?" Ranma asks.
Kagome shrugs, giving Ranma a light-hearted smile.
"Honestly, it's probably just a coincidence. Voices can sound similar sometimes without it meaning anything significant. Maybe It's just our tired brains playing tricks on us." Kagome said.
Ranma lets out a small laugh, feeling a bit reassured.
"Yeah, you're probably right. We're both exhausted from the day's events and our minds are just playing tricks on us. It's probably just a random resemblance and nothing more." Ranma said.
Kagome nods in agreement, letting out another yawn as she adjusts her sitting position.
"Yeah, you're probably right. It's just exhaustion playing tricks on our minds. And speaking of exhaustion, I think I might try to sleep after all. Hopefully, my brain will finally decide to shut off." Kagome says.
Ranma smiles, sympathetic to her exhaustion.
"Yeah, you go ahead and try to sleep. Maybe you'll have better luck than I will. Rest well, Kagome." Ranma says.
