Needless to say, that was the end of Luke and Mel. After Luke professed his love for a girl who simply just couldn't be tied down, he fled from his fifteenth awry gone relationship in three months.

Though Luke did have the looks of a rebellion bound, no good, loser who couldn't be tied down, he got inexplicably, easily attached to anyone and everyone he is around for more than a week. I mean, the boy still gets upset when he thinks about having to flush his pet goldfish, Goldy (he wasn't a very creative five year old,) down the toilet. Having that in mind, you could only imagine how distraught he would be after a breakup.

So, after his fifteenth breakup in just three months, there was only one place you could find him on this dreary Saturday afternoon, (It was actually quite a beautiful Saturday afternoon, but all Luke could comprehend at a time like this was gloom and doom,) Michael's basement.

"Dude you're going to be fine! She was a bitch anyways!"

Michael was Luke's best friend, and whenever Luke had a breakup you would find him in Michael's basement shoveling vanilla ice cream with french fries into his mouth.

"But I really thought she was the one Mikey." He pouted eating another ice cream covered fry.

"You always think they're 'the one,' buddy. Some people are just replaceable. Like girlfriends. You're too young to settle down anyways. You're only 23. Nobody likes you when you're 23. The only person who isn't replaceable is me. Your best friend." He popped one of Luke's fries into his mouth munching happily.

"But you've been dating Lisa for years, Michael, years! Since we were freshman! In high school! I just want something like what you have with Lisa, is that really too much to ask for?"

"Me and Lisa aren't always rainbows and butterflies! Sometimes we figh-" Luke cut Michael off before he could finish

"But every time you guys do fight, it is too fucking adorable and usually about something like which one of you are cuter. It's so cute it makes me want to puke. I want to disgust other single people the way you and Lisa disgust me!"

Luke groaned chomping away at another ice cream covered fry. "I don't get it! I'm a nice guy! And I'm like really good looking too!"

Michael sighed putting his arm around Luke and pulled him in for a hug, which resulted in Luke curling into Michaels chest. "She's out there somewhere, Luke."

Luke yawned, his eyes drooping from all the crying he did. "You're so good to me Mikey. I should just marry you."
