                            Lyra

In the mystical realm of Thoronia, where magic pulsed through every vein of the land, I stood alongside my sister, Aria Alyria, as guardians of the sacred Crystal of the Kingdom. This treasured artifact, passed down through our lineage, held the essence of the goddesses and our ancestors.

As witches and potion makers, our family had mastered the art of shapeshifting. Aria, my orphan cousin, raised as my sister, shared my determination.

On this fateful Full Moon night, the wind howled, and dry leaves swirled around us as we traversed the deserted path. Our destination was the ancient altar, where the crystal would unlock its full potential.

"Dad isn't coming," I whispered, anxiety creeping into my voice. "What if the crystal is in danger?"

Aria's reassuring hand on my shoulder steadied me. "Don't worry, Lyra. The crystal is ours. We'll keep it safe."

Just then, Father Thomas emerged, his face etched with concern.

"Alphas have arrived!" he exclaimed, urgency in his tone. "They're after the gem!"

Aria's eyes widened. "What? The A-Alphas? Father, we can't stay here!"

I grasped his arm, fear clawing at my heart. "Let's leave, Father. It's not safe!"

Father's expression turned resolute. "Daughters, please go. The gem's safety is paramount. It holds the dynasty's power and legacy. Protect it at all costs."

"Father, we won't leave you!" I protested feeling anxious.

Aria's voice trembled. "Give us the gem, Father. We must ensure its safety."

Father Thomas's eyes welled up with tears,He grasped our hands tightly- his magical powers surging through us "Sorry daughters,But I must protect the gem and I want you two to be safe"

"N-No father.." I pleaded.

But it was too late..
My vision blurred I stumbled and fell to my knees,My head spinned "F-father" Tears streamed down my face.

As my vision returned to normal, I was met with a sight that made my heart sink. Aria lay beside me, her body limp and lifeless, her beautiful face pale and drained of color. My breath caught in my throat, and I felt a wave of panic wash over me.

I struggled to my feet, my legs trembling beneath me. Every muscle in my body ached, as if I'd been run over by a thousand horses. My head spun, and my vision blurred, but I refused to give in.

With shaking hands, I grasped Aria's shoulders, my fingers digging into her skin. "ARIA! ARIA!!" I screamed, my voice hoarse from fear and desperation.

Slowly, agonizingly slowly, Aria's eyes fluttered open. Her gaze was unfocused, her pupils dilated. She blinked once, twice, and then her eyes locked onto mine.
