Author's POV:

He bent down, reached out to separate the flower partition between them. Gently pushing the flowers apart, he lifted the red dupatta off her head, revealing her face. For the first time today, their eyes clashed, this time, as husband and wife. He held her hand, helped her get up and the tears which had been held back by her, now finally fell from her eyes as she hugged him.

To him, he had found his saviour, his rock, his peace. To her, she had found her strength, her comfort zone, her true best friend. He let her cry it out, caressing her back, kissing her head for a long moment before letting go.

After wiping her tears, Zaviyar twirled her around, red rose petals going in every direction, as if falling from the sky as rain. Her dress let her have the perfect twirls, the gentle breeze hitting both of them simultaneously. The entire rooftop was filled with the sounds of hoots and claps, as they finally became one.

Zavrina brought out the wedding bands, handing them over to Fawad, who had to forward them to the couple. For a few seconds, Fawad's finger accidentally brushed against her hand, sending tingles down both their spines. He was rooted to his spot when a voice broke his trance,

"De de rings, maut aa gayi hai?" Shayan pushed Fawad to bring him back to the world. Nodding in response, he handed the rings to Zoya and Zaviyar, not even knowing what made him freeze like that.

(Give them the rings, has death approached you?)

He slid the diamond band onto her ring finger, this time as her husband.

She slid the white gold band onto his finger, this time as his wife.

They were finally one, Mr. and Mrs. Zaviyar Khan...

Soon enough, dinner was served and there took place the teaser of Fawad's love story.

Zavrina was descending the stairs to go to the ground floor's washroom, when she was pinned to the wall by someone. Not being able to move, she tried to speak, but the person's hand on her mouth made her shut up. There stood her worst enemy; Raed Raza. The person who was one of the biggest fears of hers, stood right in front of her eyes.

"You thought you're running away? Guess you were wrong weren't you?" His sinister smirk made her gulp inaudibly. She prayed for anyone to be there; Zaviyar, Shayan, or any one who could save her.

With immense difficulty, she managed to remove his hand from her mouth, but he was so close to her that she couldn't attack him anywhere.

"Let me go Raed," Her voice was as firm as possible, though her heart raced with the thought of anything happening here; at Zoya's nikkah.

"Let you go? You ran away once, Zari. You won't be able to this time," He was about to come even closer to her when a punch landed right across his jaw, making him stumble back a few steps.

There stood Fawad, rage unmistakably present in his eyes, his anger having no bounds. He was going to attend a call outside when he saw Zavrina being forced to stand at her place.

She gasped, her eyes widening as she looked at Fawad, who was now beating the life out of Raed. He didn't see anything but red, the sudden beast inside him was woken up at the thought of anything happening to his Zavrina.

"You piece of shit! She is a woman, a pious woman. You've made the biggest mistake of your life by even looking at her with that nasty gaze of yours!" He roared, slapping him once again.
