Lydia had been isolating herself for months, retreating from the prying eyes and whispers of the townspeople. Ever since the curse had been reversed, her life had spiraled into a private hell, one she bore alone. Each morning, she would wake to find her belly swollen and heavy, impossibly tight, as if her body was always on the edge of bursting. And each day, she was forced to endure the agony of giving birth—over and over again.

It was the same cycle Amelia had once endured, but Lydia's torment was even worse. She hadn't just been cursed to birth human children; no, she was also carrying bear cubs—massive, fur-covered creatures that stretched her body to its limit.

She had hidden herself away, hoping to escape the pitying looks and the inevitable questions. But today, she had no choice but to leave her home. She needed herbs to ease the pain, if only for a moment. As she stepped into the marketplace, the townspeople stopped in their tracks, their eyes widening at the sight of her.

"Is that Lydia?" someone whispered. "I haven't seen her in months."

"Look at her! She's enormous! Who could the father be?"

The whispers and gossip spread like wildfire. Lydia could feel their eyes on her, their curiosity turning to judgment as they stared at her swollen belly. It was huge—round and low, the weight of it pulling at her back with every step. Her skirts clung to the curve of her body, her legs spreading slightly with each heavy movement as she waddled through the market square.

But before she could even make it to the herb stall, the first contraction hit.

It was sharp and deep, taking her breath away. Lydia gasped, her hand flying to her belly as she doubled over, her body trembling. The townspeople paused, watching her with wide eyes as she clutched her swollen abdomen, trying to steady herself.

Another contraction followed, this one even stronger. Lydia's breath came in short, sharp gasps as she staggered, her legs trembling beneath the weight of her belly. She could feel it—the baby, or whatever it was, moving inside her, pressing down with an urgency she knew too well.

The whispers grew louder, the crowd beginning to murmur in confusion. "Is she...?"

"She's giving birth right here!"

Lydia let out a choked sob, the pressure between her legs unbearable. Her water hadn't even broken yet, but the baby was already moving down. And it wasn't just any baby—it was one of the bear cubs. She could feel it, its large body pressing hard against her cervix, the tufts of fur tickling her from the inside as it began to crown.

"Gods... no..." Lydia whimpered, her voice shaking as she spread her legs slightly, trying to relieve the pressure. She could feel the fur brushing against her inner walls, the cub's head pushing down relentlessly.

Her body trembled as another contraction tore through her, forcing her to bear down. Lydia groaned, her breath coming in ragged puffs as the fur-covered head began to emerge, stretching her painfully wide. The townspeople watched in stunned silence, their shock palpable as they realized what was happening.

"It's... it's too big," Lydia gasped, her hands gripping the edge of a nearby stall for support. She could feel the tufts of fur slipping through her opening, the sensation unbearable. Her legs spread wider, her thighs trembling as the cub's head inched further down, the stretch burning as she tried to push it out.

With a low, guttural moan, Lydia bore down, her body convulsing as the cub's head finally slipped free in a rush of warm fluid. Her water broke with an audible gush, drenching her skirts and splashing onto the cobblestones below. The crowd gasped, watching in stunned disbelief as the large, fur-covered cub slid out, its body much bigger than any human child she had ever birthed.

The cub landed heavily on the cobblestones, squirming briefly before it began to fade, just like all the others.

But Lydia had no time to rest. Her body was already preparing for the next birth, the pressure between her legs building again as a human baby moved into position.

Her breath came in short, sharp puffs as she spread her legs even wider, bracing herself for the next wave of contractions. The townspeople were murmuring in disbelief, some stepping closer to get a better look.

"It's human now," someone whispered. "What is she giving birth to?"

Lydia whimpered as the baby's head began to crown, the burning stretch familiar but still agonizing. She bore down, her body trembling with exhaustion as the baby slowly emerged, the tightness of her belly pressing hard against her thighs. Her water broke again, a fresh gush of fluid spilling onto the cobblestones as the baby's head slipped free.

With one final push, the baby slid out, its tiny body fragile and delicate compared to the heavy bear cub she had just delivered. The newborn let out a soft, high-pitched wail, but like the cub, it began to fade moments later, disappearing from her sight.

Lydia's legs shook as she stood there, panting heavily, her body still trembling from the effort. But she wasn't done yet.

Her belly, still round and tight, was far from empty. She could feel another cub moving inside her, this one even larger than the first. Her breath hitched as the pressure between her legs built again, the weight of the cub pressing down hard.

Lydia groaned, her thighs spreading wide as she squatted slightly, trying to relieve the unbearable pressure. "No... please," she gasped, her voice trembling with desperation. But her body gave her no choice.

The next cub was bigger, much bigger. She could feel its large, furred body pushing down, the tufts of fur tickling her again as it began to crown. The sensation was overwhelming, the stretch far too tight as the massive cub's head inched further down.

"It's too big," Lydia whimpered, her voice breaking as she bore down, her body shaking with the effort. The cub's head emerged slowly, the fur brushing against her inner walls as she strained to push it out.

The crowd watched in horrified silence as Lydia groaned, her legs trembling as the cub's head finally slipped free. The weight of it was immense, and her body shook violently as the rest of the cub slid out, landing heavily on the cobblestones in a rush of fluids.

Lydia sobbed, her body collapsing against the stall for support as the cub began to fade, disappearing from sight just like the others.

But she still wasn't done.

Her belly was still round, still painfully tight. She could feel the final baby moving down, a human child this time. The pressure between her legs was unbearable, and her body was beyond exhausted, but she had no choice but to keep going.

With a low, pained moan, Lydia spread her legs again, her breath coming in short, sharp puffs as the baby's head began to crown. This one was smaller, easier, but the pain was still intense. Her water broke for the final time, the warm fluid spilling down her legs as the baby's head slipped free.

She groaned, her body trembling with exhaustion as she pushed again, the rest of the baby's tiny body sliding out in a rush of fluid. The newborn let out a soft cry, but like all the others, it began to fade moments later, leaving Lydia panting and trembling on the cobblestones.

The crowd was stunned into silence. Lydia, once so proud and powerful, was now a broken, trembling figure, her body spent from the ordeal of giving birth to both bear cubs and human babies in front of them.

She collapsed to her knees, tears streaming down her face as the reality of her curse sank in. This was her life now—day after day, pregnancy after pregnancy, giving birth to both human children and bear cubs, only to watch them disappear moments later.

For as long as Elias and Amelia had suffered, Lydia would endure the same fate.

The curse had been reversed, and now, it was hers to bear.
