𝐀𝐚𝐫𝐨𝐧 is looking out of the window when Dave knocks on the door but Aaron doesn't turn around.

"We've got a case." Dave says knocking and after a few beats of silence he speaks up again.

"So, you've either decided we're taking the case or this bag is headed for another destination?" Dave assumes patting the bag.

"I need a favour." Aaron says.

"Of course." Dave replies.

"I need some personal time. No more than a day." Aaron says and Dave nods understandingly.

"Take all the time you need." Dave replies.

"I need to talk to Jack. I've lost her, but I'm not going to lose him. I need to try to tell him what's going on. I don't know how much he's going to understand, but..." Aaron trails off.

"All he needs to understand is that you love him." Dave tells him.

"I'll join you when I can." Aaron says and Dave turns around and nods at him before closing the door and heading to the briefing room.

"𝐓𝐡𝐫𝐞𝐞 months ago, a fire in the Shadyside Ref Center, killed 14 children." JJ states.

"I remember that." Derek speaks.

"What does that have to do with us?" Dave asks confused.

"Well, over the past three months, there's been five suicides. All of them lost a child in the fire. The last one was Paul Baleman. He was found electrocuted in his bathtub yesterday. I received a request for our help." JJ says.

"Why do they need our help? They're suicides." Derek points out.

"All of the suicides were within two weeks of each other. It could be some kind of pattern." Spencer chimes in.

"Detective Ronnie Baleman, Pittsburgh P.D., thinks that something's going on." JJ voices looking up.

"Well, of course he does." Derek says.

"Why do you say that?" Emily asks looking up.

"He's related to that man, right?" Dave asks.

"His brother." JJ states.

"A cop who doesn't believe his brother committed suicide. Come on, next case." Derek says turning to walk away when Emily stops him.

"Well, now wait a second. Five suicides in the same neighbourhood within months? That's a serious spike." Emily states.

"Suicides don't spike after a tragedy." Dave says walking around.

"Quite the opposite actually. Following World War One and Two, right after Kennedy was shot, and following 9/11, suicides plummeted. Within a society, external threats usually create group integrations." Spencer explains.
