Chapter 1

Bai Qian

My mother was screaming at the top of her lungs.

"If she shows her face here, I will beat her to death!!"

She was even heaving.

"My darling she is only just a child."

My father tried to coax her but she wasn't having it.

"If she's not in Kunlun Mountain by tomorrow! She will regret it!"

She yelled again.

Great! I made my mother so angry that she wants me shipped to some boring mountain!
Well they shouldn't have left me at the Southern Seas! Who leaves their child in a zone where naughtiness could happen.

"I hope you are reflecting on your wrong doings."

High God Zhe Yan interrupted my thoughts, I smiled as I went to link my hands with his.

"High God Zhe Yan, can't you go and apologize for me?"

He chuckled sweetly at me.

"I could but you probably overdid it this time even if I did, your mother won't listen to me."

I sighed dramatically,

"I don't want to die of boredom in that mountain!"

He chuckled again.

"Have you ever met the God of War?"

He asked softly and I shook my head.

"I suppose that's a good thing because he is hideous to look at,

he has scars all over his face and he carries a sword around with the blood of his enemies and he does not tolerate disobedience."

I shivered in fear.

"I- is that true?"

He nodded his head.

"Seeing that your parents want to send you to him, you must have outdid yourself,"

He smiled.

"See you in the morning when I take you to Kunlun Mountain."

And then he disappeared before I could protest.

I returned to the Fox Cave and I thought my mother would start yelling again but she said nothing.

After dinner I went to my room and I sat quietly thinking of how I would escape the unfortunate events that were about to happen,

I absolutely cannot go to Kunlun Mountain! I can't be stuck in a boring place with a hideous man.

I shiver at the mental picture Zhe Yan gave me, suddenly I got an idea!

The only way I could run away from home is if I go to the Mortal Realm!

However I need that vile from Heaven otherwise if I go on my true form I will suffer backlash.

Since in Heaven it's always day time I can sneak in and pretend to blend in, then steal the vile and disappear!

I waited for everyone to fall asleep and then I snuck out like a thief in the night.

Cloud traveling wasn't my best pursuit because I got lost a few times but I eventually made it.

Heaven was too bright for my liking but it smelled unbelievable good here, I snuck in looking for the palace where the Star Lord lived.

However on my way I suddenly pulled by the smell of peach blossoms, I followed the scent until I reached Hua Kang Palace.

The peach blossoms here smelled so sweet, nothing like Zhe Yan's peach blossoms.
